How is that particular post even remotely offensive? It's incredibly mild.

It's not, R. Guyovich admitted that it isn't. He's just mad with power.

EDIT: Also, holy shit. The site's Alexa number doubled in three months.

graph

For those unfamiliar with Alexa, this means that the site went from being the 5000th most popular site on the internet to the 10,500th most popular in three months. I don't know what caused this but it's been a long time coming.

I hope lowtax has hoarded enough funbucks, because it looks like the ride may be over soon. No hard feelings though, my 10bux was well spent, not sure how many others can say the same.

24k a year really isn't much considering he's made 2MM on SA registrations alone. One really surprising thing I noticed checking the user stats just now: SA now has around a 12% ban rate. That might not seem important, but the ban rate has always hovered around 9% for over a decade. I guess bans have gotten even more out of hand since I stopped paying attention SA some time last year, because that's some serious making up for lost time, given the fact that most of those accounts are inactive.

Sudden drops for legacy sites with no particular controversy usually means something like Google changing their advertising or pagerank algorithm. In other words, changing them to reflect the reality of what 2018 people actually want to see when they search for things. It's uhh, not outdated bulletin boards, pseudonymous identities, paid entry fees, and overmoderation by a crew of extremely isolated idiosyncratic political activists with very little actual real world support for any of their positions.

you know it dawned on me, I remember the eve threads from like 2006/7 never even joined. Those decade old banner ads were never a problem did the even goons put them back in rotation or did someone finally notice them?

Ether way if those complaining and the mods just ignored the ads or better let just let the word faggot go, then they would not have a kiwifarms ad linking to this thread.

I got to call out Lowtax as a vile specimen of a human being in the Mandy thread. That was well worth the ban, and the 10 bucks I paid in 2007.
