Holy fuck, I ended up on a kind of background noise binge of SU critique videos and ran into their 2hr long epic on Steven Universe. I thought it was weird how much they sperged about LITERAL NAZIS in the US. I didn't...ummm....expect all this shit.
I wasn't as proactive, I just assumed it was another assblasted lefty. I'm too used to assblasted trannies.

:late: I needed background noise as I worked and flipped on the Steven Universe video for shits and giggles. Honestly haven't listened to a single video of this guys in 7 years maybe, and dear God this dude's lost his mind more than I thought he did.
The entire video is just him attributing all the problems of the show to the creator, even the parts the creator doesn't touch, and just starts sperging for good 40 minutes about The Old Republic and fascism.

I LOVED the dude's SU video and I was pretty sure he was gonna be of the same camp as stich, E;R, etc. And maybe using the trans avatar as a cover, to deflect cries of misogyny, or maybe that avatar was his waifu or some shit. Because when I see that avatar and hear that voice, something is fucking wrong. That's not the voice that should come out of that mouth, so I figured it wasn't supposed to be an avatar of himself. Calling the writer of SU a Nazi sympathizer was great and I figured he was calling out hypocrisy in morons calling everyone they don't like as nazis.
Then I looked at anything in their social feed and was blown away. This man seems like a libertarian stuck in a cucks autism brain, not a brown woman stuck in a white man's body.
But no, seriously. Way to abuse your privilege as a white male while vying for the social clout of a brown woman. This man's actually doing blackface for upwards of 1 million viewers. This is because Jerry is Native American. He is pasty as shit because he doesn't like sunlight, and I don't know exactly to what extent he is Native American. 1/2, 1/4, 1/32 I have no idea.

can't speak of anyone int the SU fandom communities (though a cursory glance of tumblr shows No-fun-allowed types are prevalent and Lily is a single fish in an ocean of people bitching about the same things.) but basically everyone in the MLP fandom sees them for what they are and ignores them as they ought, and with good reason given they torpedo'd any good will they had during the toonkritic fiasco and turning it into (yet another) excuse to attack Josh Scorcher

This annoyed me so much that I had hard time getting trough the video. Rebecca Sugar is such a evil LGBTQ+phopic nazi and is responsible for all the problematic elements. Not only was this so overused in the video but it’s pretty much opposite why SU sucks.
The biggest problem in SU production is that there is no real leadership, instead everyone is allowed do what ever they want. Rebecca Sugar gives her storyboard artists (whom pretty much write the show) all most complete artistic freedom and has really low quality standards. Seriously, as long as you can sort of tell who is who, it’s fine and ready. This is why everything from art to character powers is so inconsistent and the show has no real direction. If SU was absurd comedy this could work but SU is often drama heavy action show. Both action and drama get their power from consequences and those can’t happen if there are no consistent rules. Characters will look stypid by not using all ready shown skills or pulling new skills from their ass and viewer will stop caring because they can’t fear or speculate what’s going to happen.
Unfortunately the show’s staff seems to be more interested seeing how many lesbians and other unusual for kid show topics they can cram in SU. It’s pretty clear that there are more than few people working on the show that just want virtue signal to adult viewers on social media. It basically kids show made entirely for woke adults. Honestly I am pretty surprised if there are that many kids even watching SU consistently. I think CN has noticed this but have let the show continue for PC PR reasons.
Still kinda shame. This show could have been really good. Gems are interesting alien race, color palette is more often than not great and animation looks down right gorgeous under the better storyboarders. If there had been a stronger leader with overall vision, actual writers doing the plot and a good editor who won’t let underperforming fly easily but no.

The MLP fandom kinda sees Jerry for the sperg he is, and the SU fandom has more or less devolved into doing a lot of the same things Jerry does, which is only watching the show to bitch about it and insult and attack the people who make it for being woke but not woke enough. So, they won't attack him (yet) since he's agreeing with them.

Technically, not all gems can shapeshift. In addition, it appears to be a learned skill that's hard to master and I'm pretty sure it was mentioned somewhere that holding onto a shapeshifted form for too long can be dangerous.

The SU fans that I've seen seemed to have shut Jerry out, although I think there have been some on Reddit that do agree with him.
Generally, though, they take umbrage with the sensationalized clickbaity title.

in fairness they do have enough "opinionated assholes who watch the show just to whine about a perceived flaw in the writing that only they actually perceive to be a flaw" variety """Critics""" so in all likelihood any traction this gives lily with in the SU community will be short lived at best, and will likely to lead right back into the same shaped hole they're in with the mlp community
