it's doubtful these callouts will reach very far. important to remember that one of largest furry telegram groups is for "cub" artwork similar to this, at nearly 1700 users.

Unfortunately, it seems to have died down. The only furries still mentioning it are either directly involved in the investigation, or are Kero's diehard defenders (who all seem to have Beastforum accounts). My impression is that it's not gonna be brought up until these fuckers start getting V&, and/or it gets picked up by the mainstream media, and even then I think it's just gonna be ignored by the wider fandom because "muh drama".

I have to wonder, on that last, what it would take for Pittsburgh to turn on Anthrocon. With a few million $$$ annually at stake and the predictable greed and need to fill an ‘in the red’ city’s coffers, I get the feeling the city government wouldn’t throw them out for anything less than committing nuclear terrorism or something.

I have been glancing at the Twitters for Kage, Xydexx, and Chef Mongoose - all Anthrocon board and all self appointed spokesmen for furry - and not a single tweet from any of them on this. Typical; I’m sure they think that of they put their hands over their eyes it will just go away.

Also just because there's convincing public evidence out there that these people did these things doesn't mean the LEAs can just go make arrests and prosecute successfully. And an investigation can go off the rails and not go anywhere.

It could be that only one or two people out there are convictable enough to arrest, and it could be that even if they are, it still takes months to do anything.

One hopes at least they get that SnakeThing fucker.

Thinking that "the fandom" is going to clean up their act in response to some bad PR is :autism::dumb: because for every con-goer who deeply cares about how their community looks, there is someone laughing at what happened and proceeding to whack it to neko shota. The only people who could do something (i.e. the "popufurs") are too busy not wanting to know about what is probably the grossest incident so far this year, and the most they can really do is slap a useless "bestiality is not tolerated" in every con rulebook.

Generally I'm not sure what you expect people to do about rampant dogmonglers without making total fools of themselves, because you've seen what happens when the average moron tries a dox. It's a mistake of thinking the community is a single governed entity when really it's more disorganised than a terrorist cell.

I have seen some people say that they were leaving the furry fandom specifically because of the zoosadism leak. These have all been small time artists and the like.

Apparently a lot of people announced they were leaving in the early days of the zoosadism leak, as several people were complaining about the people wanting to quit the fandom.​

This one was invested enough to own a fursuit. The Kero allegations were the last straw which made him question whether he should be spending his resources on the furry fandom when zoosadists are involved in it.


Here is another artist, they were so deeply hurt and shocked by the Kero situation that they didn't want anything to do with the fandom and even logging into their furry twitter has been hard for them to do. The first reply is from an artist who was concerned people were trying to defend Kero and that it just made furries look like "apologists." Another artist said they had quit the fandom because of the Kero logs, and a fourth furry said the logs had "sucked the good" out of the fandom for them and was concerned because it implied "this is so much bigger and there are so many more ppl involved."

One furry artist blacklisted Kero and later remarked that the fandom had become a "god damn asylum in here" and another one said there was too much drama and people worrying about "stupid shit that doesn't even involve them."


Someone left the fandom because they were outraged that Kero was called out.

This furry was "grossed out" and almost quit the fandom over furries thinking Kero did nothing wrong.

This furry announced they were leaving the fandom over "a lot of stuff" that they can't cope with anymore.

I'm not sure if this was over the zoosadism, but this artist had announced they had left the fandom shortly after the leaks, there was regret because they knew leaving the furry fandom was "probably the worst move" if they wanted to make money from art commissions.

The defense of Kero caused this furry to want to leave.

This one was a small artist, they got tired of furries due to "constant stories of shit like beastilaity and rape coming out and always being from -you guessed it- furries" and said they "refuse to associate myself with a 'fandom' that houses so many abhorrent, evil freaks." Another artist replied and said she keeps coming closer and closer to leaving the fandom, and that it "just feels like every week there's some new person outed as a pedophile or abuser," but she feels she can't actually quit furries because so much of her income is from furry art commissions, which is likely the case with a lot of artists, especially the big ones.

This one made a video to announce they were leaving the furry community, but they had to specify that it was "NOT ABOUT THE KERO STUFF" and they were leaving due to mental health reasons.

This artist got so distressed over the Kero leaks and toxicity that they ended up quitting the fandom, although they may rejoin it later.



One of the common reactions to this and any other major furry happening seems to always be attempts at PR and concern over what news of the animal rapists/pedos/etc. will do the furry community's reputation.


This furry was sent death threats for speaking out against Kero. Even knowing there were zoosadists and people willing to send death threats to defend zoosadists, they said they were not leaving the fandom.


There was too much "negative associated" with furries and zoophiles being called out for this one to be comfortable calling himself a furry so he left, although he said he will still "lurk for the art."


Another artist who said they were leaving because of Kero getting exposed as a zoophile/pedo, they wondered if the furry communities welcoming and accepting nature emboldened people with "philiac feelings."

Some furries, as seen in the above, nuked their Telegrams and stopped using it in response to the leaks, most of these seem to have wanted to remain furries however.

While searching for that stuff above, I came across an eerily familiar scenario. Last year there was a furry zoophilia/animal rape Telegram group called out alongside a popular furry artist and fursuit maker named Allison Reed aka Javachikn/Birds/Mudshark/Java or wild-life/wild_life, who was called out for adopting dogs to groom them for sex. This Telegram chat may not be tied to the zoosadists', but one of the names mentioned in the zoosadism logs does own a fursuit made by Reed's business.

Allison Reed is a popular furry artist and fursuit maker who was exposed as a zoophile and was dubbed the "one that got away" because she faced no repercussions from law enforcement or even from the furry fandom after she was exposed for engaging in bestiality. As the author of that post put it, if a furry artist "draws enough porn for everyone, they can get away with all sorts of nasty shit." Reed's BeastForum account was found in 2006 (the same year she was a "guest of honor" of at least one con) because she had posted her telltale artwork there and directed people to her art gallery, which should have been a huge red flag combined with the bestiality-themed furry porn she was drawing.
Apparently the furry community hand-waved that away, and in December 2007 Reed made a BeastForum post describing how she had been training her new dog for sex. She also stupidly was still using the same BeastForum account and posting more artwork and admitted to being herself when recognized. She started posting videos of herself with the dog in early 2008 and mentioned having obtained a vasectomy for the dog. She had to give the dog away after it developed behavioral problems from what she had done to him. The author remarked that he would have tried to get fur cons to ban her, but said "seeing as how they can't be fucked to even check the sex offender registry once in a while, that's completely pointless too."

Leaks from FurAffinity showed her asking Dragoneer if she can have her account removed because she had been "tangled up in the law and there is an internet witch hunt" out to get her. She admitted to being a zoophile in these messages: "People from wtf_fa lj and dramachan played detective on me and sent a load of personal information about me to the sheriffs department an outed me as a zoo, i got in trouble. i'm furcking done with furry because there are too many malicious people out there." Dragoneer, who has a history of defending zoophiles on the site, replied, "I've sort of feared that over time, too... =/" and began working to scrub messages left to her and even had to disable new account registrations because people were making names like "javastrokesdogcockforaids."

Someone called out Reed again in 2015

"The fact that people have stopped talking about them does not mean that her actions should be forgotten. She has not shown any remorse, instead just lying low on FurAffinity and social media until people started to forget her crimes, and for this reason she does not deserve forgiveness. To this day she reaps significant profis and mass admiration for her fursuit work, with most people in the fandom blissfully unaware of the less savory parts of her past. It is disgraceful that the furry fandom, a group who love animals and claim to want the best for them, would continue to financially support one who has unapologetically abused animals. Java used her dogs as sex toys, and then threw them away when the damage she caused to them became too much for her to handle. These are not actions that the furry fandom should condone under any circumstances."

She was called out again in April 2017, and it wouldn't be surprising if there have been more callouts I did not come across. Note the reply where someone told the OP to stop wasting their time calling Reed out because BeastForum users "do a lot worse" such as traveling to events to "rape kill and eat dogs." http://archive.li/HD7kM A few people seem to have tried to defend Reed, but most were disturbed by Reed's behavior. The operator of that callout account came back to it in July 2017 and dropped more evidence, Reed had given her age and location on BeastForum posts. Reed was advertising to be a "bitch" and "serve" people's dogs. She claimed to have had one "full on experience" with a dog prior to May 7th, 2006 (it appears to have been a friend that brought over a German shepherd to "play" in 2005, she also described fingering and "going down on" a female dog, probably her childhood pet) and was planning on getting an "intact" male dog as soon as she could. She said she had met up with another BeastForum user in November 2006 and was still looking for more in April 2007. In May 2008 she had to get rid of the dog she had groomed after her boyfriend threatened to have the dog put down, causing Reed to dump the boyfriend after rehoming the dog. She then obtained a puppy and stated her plans to groom it for sex. Reed seems to have sexually abused every single dog she has owned, and I can't imagine she has ever stopped since the law turned a blind eye to her behavior. http://archive.li/Fq2li

A few days after tApril 2017 callout, someone exposed a furry zoophilia Telegram chat group called The Zoo Furries Society. It had 839 members with 12,380 photos and 569 videos shared in the group. The group's info warned "THIS GROUP SUBJECT MATTER IS ILLEGAL IN SOME REGIONS. BE VERY CAREFUL ABOUT DISCLOSING INFORMATION TO ANYBODY." News of the leak was posted to this very thread, some furries tried to run damage control by claiming the screenshots from the group were faked and the entire thing had been made by trolls to incriminate random furries. http://archive.li/jX0qR

He said he was getting legal threats made against him by furries for posting screenshots of their zoophilia posts, and was getting attacked for making his call out thread and ended up deleting it. He was hurt when the furry community "just stopped caring" about Reed and the zoophiles, and commented that the furry community sure seems to just 'forget,' such as with Growly, a registered sex offender who raped a 14-year-old boy and was using the FurAffinity to solicit nudes from minors.

It’s happened to so many issues since. just one example is Growly, who i’ve seen get torn apart over and over for being an actual convicted child molester. His takeaway from his experience was that you can "get away with anything," even serial dog raping, and get forgiveness in the furry community if you are an "established fursuit maker or artist."

No. People aren't talking about it anymore either. I follow a popufur that was pretty vocal about this, retweeting loads of shit when it hit and they've been silent on it for over a week now. They just talk about school now.

It takes a lot for furries to leave the fandom, let alone care about drama. It's a shitstorm every week. People fucking dogs doesn't stop them from getting their porn, so they don't care. The only thing you'll find furries actually caring about is things like SOPA/Net Neutrality/etc because "muh internets(muh porn in actuality)".

The Growly thing is interesting since it's perhaps the best example of a known offender who still manages to show up at cons time and time again. Right before his wikifur page talks about his crimes it also has an up to date list on what cons he's showing up at. In 2001 he was arrested for fucking minors and put on the sex offender registry claiming his partner did it. In 2009 he was furaffinity banned, not for old shit as some furries like LexyEevee try to claim but because he was sexting minors via FA notes.

There's a reason a lot of furries critical of the fandom came to the conclusion that furries cover shit up years ago, Growly is a prime example of this. Sibe's banned at a lot of cons, but he also was distributing paid furry content for free and getting into fights on social media, usenet, and IRC. Growly on the other hand knows how to lay low in the obvious places and therefore he's allowed to run free.
