I've now seen a LOT of gay dudes I'm friends with post about this online, and a friend of mine was also apparently friends with Tank; his FB post has made the rounds in some of the screenshot dumps. People are very upset.

This is only the beneficial part of it, the gay community takes no shit and will spread like wildfire unlike the furry community's "its just drama!!!!" labeling.

Please don't get your views of an entire culture from the bitterest queens with an axe to grind about how they didn't like the scene of whatever party they went to. If this is really what we want to talk about, I'm pretty sure I came across posts by Jack/Tank talking about these same things, cliques and bears vs. twinks and gatekeeping and where it comes from and blah blah blah. Literally every gay person has views on gay culture and the problems with it and its basis in insecurities. But this is supposed to be a thread about this specific guy who emotionally abused his boyfriend for years until he finally killed him. This is getting kinda ridiculous.

I think that there's enough fags here to warrant a thread in community watch on bears and/or general LGBT subcultures with a large irl presence that are different from the online kinds that only popped up recently.

Not only is abuse and manipulation extremely prevalent in gay relationships/transgender people in relationships, but there's also plenty of amusing petty drama.

I don't really have anything new to add. I've been lurking here since the Rapptastic threads of years gone by, but this situation is what finally got me to create an account.

I know this looks like abuse "gone wrong," but I wonder if this man's abuser was actually being deliberate in this situation. Based on the amount of public information about their power structure, that's not anything that could be proven (unless one of the other "pups" squealed), but CLEARLY, Dylan was wrecked by Jack's public announcements about the details of their relationship. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't go into full grooming mode to win him back, only to betray him with an "accidentally" misplaced silicone injection. Now the whistleblower is silenced, there's enough public material to create reasonable doubt, and the creepy pack can try to move on. I'm curious how much the guy Dylan refers to as "Alpha" was involved. Dylan is the public face of this group, but even he submits to Alpha from time to time (And of course he's fucking named "Krypto").

My personal take aside, however; this is an unforgivable situation. I doubt Dylan realized how intensely the few people who got to know Jack actually loved him. That is most likely the only reason this went public.

Maybe I'm old-fashioned, but I miss the days when the gay BDSM scene involved a bunch of guys wearing a lot of dead cow skin, tying each other up, and/or beating the fuck out of each other. Now it's all puppies and furries and bears. Oh my.

He didn't die directly from the silicone injection. The silicone caused pneumonitis and a hemorrhage, both of which are known risks of free silicone injection. The death certificate lists those things. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think there was any for for Dylan to intentionally cause it.

Yes, and he also did it to himself. I'm not saying it wasn't his fault, but he couldn't give the injection in a specific incorrect way to ensure that it would kill Jack. The first man connected to Dylan who died was because of an embolism caused by the silicone injection from the "medical professional" he referred him to.

This is good, he deserves a true service.

As for that call out earlier, I only placed input into the discussion cause it diverted there. No one is bitter with a so called axe to grind it's not that deep.

The truth is ugly and I think multiple facets of the community should be called out and discussed but ultimately the one thing I agree one is it's taking away from Jack and he deserves Justice.

I'm glad the people who truly love him are planning a real service, I hope his family can heal from this one day.

I know I've already commented about how gross Dylan is before, but did he not reach out to the family and see what they wanted done with his remains and last rites? I'd be really interested to know if his mother even knew he was dying before he was already dead.
