I don't know about you fellows, but I'm quite excited for the merge because it'll lead to 4 possibilities.

Possibility 1:
It doesn't happen and Chris realizes that he is very ill, and likewise falls into an unrecoverable despair that will lead into the Dark Chris Saga, where drugs, abuse, and murder will occur.

Possibility 2:
It doesn't happen and Chris realizes that he is very ill, and likewise decides to change himself for the better, following through with psychiatric treatments and learning that he isn't the center of the universe, and ultimately, one step at a time, getting better.

Possibility 3:
It doesn't happen, however Chris further escapes from reality, claiming to see things that aren't there on a regular basis. This would lead to him being treated in a psychiatric facility, and hopefully getting him the mental health he desperately needs.

Possibility 4:
It does happen, and I get to have hot giant woman sex with Mount Lady, and Diane.

Either way, we all win.

That would be nice, however I can foresee this happening.

Chris is an Egotist, and escapes Reality by jumping into Fantasy. Chris, will not accept failure of the merging, and will have to jump into the fantasy, and believe in it to sustain it. He isn't a shut in at all, which means he'll be having delusions in public. This will be noticed, and likewise taken care of, there are such things as involuntary committals to psychiatric wards after all.

Chris, in a way, is like Victor Zzazz. Zzazz must kill, he needs to kill to keep his escapism from Reality alive. Its the very base of his Ego Defense. Chris must believe in the fantasy, or he will collapse; let us be thankful its not Zzazz tier escapism. However, as he must believe in the Fantasy, the more Reality will not accept this, and likewise snuff him of this.

It is an extremely sad road Chris has waddled onto, and I'm excited to see where it goes.

I personally think a mixture of 1 and 3 will happen. Chris certainly has the potential to abuse (and has tried to abuse others in the past) thanks to his ego, and will most likely regress further from reality to his make believe world (which might be spurred on further by Barb passing away in the future) until he eventually dies.

Well, he's just the latest in a long list of people who have predicted some world-ending or changing event. A few may have admitted that they were completely wrong, but most didn't. Sometimes they say "well, I was just off on the timing." Other times they decide that they WERE right, and it's reality that is wrong. Those are my favorites. C-197 is now one with our own! You can see it by turning on your TV to adult swim or whatever shitty channel CPU stuff is on.
