As I've said before, AL is way more business savvy than Chantal. If only due to her laziness and indifference. I'm not saying that Amber is self-aware enough to know how well she's played the game, but somehow everything just fell into place for her. Her natural apathy is what has made her channel strive over the years. She has better things to do than to monitor comment sections and go on copyright striking sprees. Channels like Katie's and Hamburgerlynn only help bring in that sweet $$$ traffic. Hell, even I found Chantal's channel from HowtoCameron bitching about her eating cereal-donuts.
Chantal would have been massively successful (by 'massive' I mean maybe 100k+ subs?) if she just continued to embrace her mukbangs, let others ridicule her and bring her free traffic. If she wanted to lose weight and diet, again, she should've done so privately without making it such a giant staple of her channel. It is 100% possible to mukbang and lose weight. This isn't about ethics, it's about money, right? She wants more money, so keep doing the thing that made you money. It's up to her to discern if her health is worth a few youtube coins. Or...you know...just get a damn job.
Never mix business with your personal feelings. Use common sense and logical reasoning. "Is this thing bringing me enough income? No? Okay, then maybe I'll exert my energy onto something else that will. Will I like it? Probably not. Will it bring in the $$$? There is a high probability that it will."
