I don't have the US numbers, but in the UK, only 20% of trans-identifying people (so, 0.2% of the population) "would seek medical treatment at some stage". The number who actually get the chop is lower, and the number of those who'd look normal afterward is lower still.

Right! I think there there are definitely some trans women who started early and are just genetically #blessed enough to pass irl. Janet Mock and Carmen Carrera come to mind. However, I think that number is extremely small. For the majority, passing completely is out of their reach and the best that can be hoped for is occasional doubletakes from the public instead of outright staring.
But then again, that's taking online trans activists at their word that they DO want to completely pass and not just larp in fishnets and arm warmers.

Actually, I think she is credited with her "deathname" in Clockwork Orange and she never demanded the credits to be changed in the modern releases of the film. She is basically the anti-drama.

That's because testosterone is a strong hormone that can drastically change your body, while oestrogen effects are very low, trans women who "kinda" passes are on hormones for more than 4 years and saying that is nice, because even with that, it can't remove the large chin, shoulders or facial structures that T has created.
The only trans 'women' who passes are kids, because they are androgynous so it's easy to look feminine.

It's one of the biggest issues with transitioning. Passing is more then just having boobs and a front hole. You need to have soft features. It's something you either get lucky with or very expensive surgery. A the more qualified surgeons for that job wont touch it because of the amount of work and face reconstruction that is needed and you still might end up looking like an abortion.

In a way I do feel bad I cant imagine what it's like to want be come something and it always being out of your grasp. It's the lack of self awareness and ability to look critically at themselves(and community at large) that makes them fun to mock and laugh at

I've always seen these types of troons in the same manner as I'd see plastic surgery addicts. They get every surgery possible, they look like a freak, then end up killing themselves or dying from medical complications from their surgeries. Even channers make this comparison:

I talked with a mtf and he told me he wants to have surgery because his penis made him feel uncomfortable. He said he hated how it feels and when "it acted on it's own".

That's why I believe some men who are eager to get rid of their bait and tackle have sensory issues. They don't like the feeling of it against their inner thighs etc. Especially autistic people have sensory problems. But Instead of getting actual help they stumble into a reddit troon echo chamber which worsens their dysphoria.

While I don't feel sorry for dumb idiots who destroy their dicks voluntarily - I understand why some of them are doing it.
