>Ethan abandoned his beliefs and fanbase to make a mediocre podcast for profit.
>Joji ran away from Filthy Frank wihout any closure whatsoever just to do mumble rap and get piggybacked from his past fame to compensate for his lack of talent
>Idubbbz is out of people to collab with and Content Cop takes too much effort so he just occasionally shitposts in his channel every now and then
What happened to the good old days, folks? I just wanted a few fun channels to watch.:offtopic:
Joji left as filthy frank for many reasons. The whole thing was taking a toll on his health, I can't begrudge him on leaving.
:offtopic:It was taking a toll on his health for quite a while. Back in 2014 he uploaded a video where he talked about being stressed out and was taking medication for seizures. He had a lot going on and didn't want his fans to feel forgotten, but he still got torn to pieces in the comments for getting personal. He's also mentioned on IG that his vocal cords were wrecked from performing his characters' voices for so long. He was passionate about music since the beginning, so the career shift isn't surprising. Some of his older stuff is still floating around on YT, and it's not all bad. His book provided closure for the Filthy Frank universe.:offtopic:
If I remembered this right Jon gave them the opportunity to move to New York by offering Hila an editing job, too. Way to bite the hand that once fed you because you didn't want to get burned by association over the Jontron controversy, Ethan.
Yep, JonTron flew them to NY and made Hila a producer. Here's a time stamped clip of Ethan confirming it.

She is a victim and afraid.

She acts like a beat dog, not "shy." Not saying that Ethan beats her or even verbally abuses her, just that something more is off about her whole vibe.

Ethan also comes off as a bit of a tard, not counting his nervous ticks cause thats not really fair. It just seems like he's trying speak above his iq level and ends up chewing on his tongue. Like bro, it's okay to think about what you are gonna say for a second instead of shoving it all out at once and 1) not making sense 2) stammering 3) repeating yourself.

I'm kind dubious on those claims. I don't think they're lying necessarily, but i definitely think they're exaggerating the effects that the Frank/Pink Guy characters had on their mental health.

I can't seem to find the article now (it's probably been purged), but Ethan and Hila caught their break when Cracked featured their "Warm It Up" video in one of their listicles about underrated comedy videos. At the time, their channel had less than 1,000 subscribers and the majority of the content were "EXE" videos that Hila was producing in order to learn how to use video editing programs for one of her classes. Ethan also appeared in some videos, like Hot Kitchen ("Sean" also appears in this video). Once Cracked promoted them, Ethan filmed a bunch of random greenscreen footage that wound up being used in those gimmick "MLG" montage parodies. That secured him an audience with Pyrocynical and all the other people who made montages.

Once Ethan "made it" he purged almost all of the classic stuff from his channel, which was the first sign that he was starting to get real full of himself. I am genuinely surprised Hot Kitchen is still on YouTube (the one I linked to is a slightly edited reupload from the original, which was posted years prior). Ethan had a ton of very cerebral off-the-cuff material on the channel like a video where he lamented the death of Steve Jobs while anxiously fidgeting with packing tape, resulting in him wrapping his arms and head with it. I think the reason why a lot of this was pulled from YouTube is probably because it would only help people in drawing parallels between Ethan and Million Dollar Extreme.

I've long since stopped following h3h3, but it's nice to see Ethan seeing the consequences of his behavior. I had no idea he turned into such a piece of shit. It puts a lot of his older videos into context, like the one where he pretends to fuck a puppet he named Jeff Dunham. He mentions a few racist/homophobic things under the pretense that "it's okay because the puppets are saying it".

There's still Penguinz0/Cr1tical, Etika, and PewDiePie

cr1tical is trash now, Etika deleted everything i think.

Yeah, Cr1tikal's channel went downhill as soon as he did the "face reveal" video and tried to branch his content out. Now he just churns out all sorts of unrelated nonsense, most of which isn't funny or as good as his original stuff. I'm all for letting people create whatever they want, and I'm glad he's going his own way, but I can't think of anything he's posted within the past couple years that was funny. Fleshlight Mythbusters comes to mind, but that was trademark striked and taken down.

Not familiar with Etika but I think he went crazy or something recently and either deleted his channel or did something to have his channel terminated.

And how exactly can you know that? You're not him as far as I know, Joji's not obligated to make videos. If it became an issue for him to continue playing this character, it would be stupid to continue doing it. Besides, even if you were to argue about his mental health, the voice was very grating to his vocal chords.

And how do you know the voice was grating? You're just taking their word on that.

Obviously i have no idea if they're exaggerating or not. It's just my suspicion. I'm not even a Joji fan as I don't enjoy their Frank/Pink Guy videos. Don't go thinking anyone who is critical of Joji is just upset they aren't making Frank/Pink Guy videos anymore.

After collaborating with Alex CND and Keemstar, Etika started posting weird shit that made people worry. I imagine he had a mental breakdown or something.

Joji really does have health problems. He got harassed by his fanbase when he admitted to it in a video. Having to constantly do the grating character voices also took its toll, which was part of the reason he stopped doing Filthy Frank in the first place.

Isnt Joji dying from a brain sickness or something?

Not sure why the video didn't show up in the quote.
I'm a minute in. Man needs a better mic, at least a pop filter or a sock. Apart from that, this looks like the production quality YouTube's been hurting for.

Ok, why not liveblog this. Disclaimer: I've only watched a few of h3's biggest videos, and listened to none of his podcasts. I never realised how much of a shitshow was actually created by Pewds saying nigger. I thought it was just the press reeing, but it turns out every tard wanting to make it big shut it down to save their reputation. Imagine being scared to admit that ironic racism is funny.

Or, so put it another way: 45831059_481272692362586_1828224791719444480_n.jpg

It's also amazing to see the "30 year old man" phrase come back. That should be stigmatised more than nigger tbqh.

Oh no the intervals are generation zyklon humor. Not a good idea. Bad idea. Shut it the fuck down. And he censors the n-word. Here I was feeling :optimistic:... *sigh*

Oooh, an Othello reference. How erudite. Although sycophantic is a perfectly accurate descriptor for almost everyone you find on that accursed website.

What flavour of retard is Jimmie Lee, and why is Ethan bullying him? I hate autists getting abused on camera. He looks moderately downs, and he's almost certainly not ok. He's managed to find a way to be funny and accepted, and Ethan's shitting on him :( Reminds me of this post.

I got the impression from William's videos that H3 shafted him. I didn't realise how blatant it was. They didn't even make the "haha shitty robots" work well. What absolute shitheads. Will's a really genuine guy too (:_(

Of course an actual comedian(Bill Burr) fucking roasts him. I'm amazed H3 can't conceptualise not wanting your daughter doxxed too. What an retarded fag.

Oooh, a wife's child joke. Creator is too much of a pussy to name Tyrone tho.

The paper cock cumming on Ethan's face was funny. Solid meme. His estimates for podcast payouts are a tad high, but he is right in that the numbers are balls to the walls insane for podcasts. Hello Internet hits a few hundred k, and that's top tier for indie things.
Actually, I take that back. Average podcast breaks are two/three per hour, ad one per break(for indie ones). He seems to consistently hit three breaks per hour with three sponsors per break. That's getting to radio levels of saturation, and probably higher income from segmentation. Little wonder he's jewish.

Oh no, generation Z is so immersed in post-irony they think being a smarmy bastard is "sarcasm" wtf.

Can someone explain that Sam Hyde joke please? I'm not a /pol/tard.

On that r-worded "masonic jew attacks the Church" segment, there's 2509 priests in Pensylvania now, and the report covers 70 years. Assuming there were more priests, a 35 year turnover rate, and false accusations, that puts the credibly accused rate below 10%, at the height of the sexual revolution, when every policy failed. The 2002 reforms cut abuse rates to near zero too.

Ethan's fucking /pol/brand redpilled too. What a fucking tard.

Ethan would make a great cop :)

The "ethan's appeal is that of a freakshow" bit is right. That's what Frank realised, and why he stopped.

There we go, discount iDubbz was in elementary school when shoenice was big, and he peaked in 2012, so that puts him solidly in gen z. I smelt it. I don't really have much else to say about bullying the alcoholic, beyond the post I linked with that downie.

Anyway, "gokanaru" is probably small enough that he google's his name, so I'll give a general summary. The video was fairly solid, production quality was above par(bar pop filter), and the writing was pretty good. It was around what I'd expect from gen z taking over from millennials with different humour(I liked it about the same as excessively millennial skits), a slightly more Online feeling, and less intentional uniqueness. Definitely similar quality to content cop, better than the earliest ones too. All in all, 5/7 would watch again.

Thank you for reading my blog post.

his claims don't seem unbelievable in the slightest. FF was one of the most popular youtube channels for a good long while and as time went on joji put a ridiculous amount of effort (given it's genre) into his content. his epilepsy is exacerbated by stress, and i can't think of anything more stressful than an ungrateful fanbase that is almost entirely comprised of autistic children.

also talking exclusively like you just finished giving 20 blowjobs certainly sounds like hell on the vocal cords.

If H3H3 was going to be copying any youtuber's style, he really should have followed Filthy Frank and said "sorry guys but I want a big boy life now and the content you want me to make is repetitive and degrading" rather than pretending like he was going to keep doing it while slowly trying to replace it with a podcast. I don't really think his decline after Vape Nation has been entertaining in the same sense as other YouTube drama, it's just been kinda pathetic.
