Yes. They are absolutely desperate for oppression, death, and genocide, because they care about nothing more than they care about being right, and those things occurring would prove them right. Despite pretty much every single one of them attempting to make it about themselves, they also think that all these horrible things would just happen to other people, while they just safely tweeted their outrage at it, because they're privileged little twats who have never actually suffered any of these terrors that they so long for and romanticize.

I keep thinking stories like "The Handmaid's Tale" are wishful thinking by Feminists and landwhales hoping for some wealthy, arrogant Nazi to whisk them off to some richly-appointed sex dungeon for some rough, romance novel cover lovin'. After which, they can cry to their friends and receive pityfeels for their "brutal" treatment.
The fact that the real thing (occuring to women all over the world) is about .001% as pleasant as their fantasties completely escapes these addled women. As is the fact that they'd have to lose dozens of pounds and dress halfway decently for even the most incel of Nazis to become attracted to them.

They seem to make nonsensical comparisons to Handmaid's Tale almost as much as Harry Potter lately. They tried doing it with the Kavanaugh hearing too, and the best comparison they came up with was that a group of guys sat at a table at the hearing, and in Handmaid's Tale.

It's not that these people are against suppression and abuse, so much as they long for it. Finally, a chance to truly be the resistance! To be real rebels, fighting against the evil government! All of their personal fantasies will finally be fulfilled. It's romantic, it's heroic, it's who and what they were made to be.
Truthfully, the left has been like this for decades. You should read some of the things the old "word war" era communist supporters in America believed. I really think that when ole Joe McCarthy showed up, a little part of them started doing cartwheels. Or how some of the 60's era New Left went after Richard Nixon. Here was the enemy they had been waiting for, and when he went away, it shattered them.
Here's me personal belief. Most of these people don't "really" want Socialism, they want the glamour of fighting against socialism's enemies. They want to be Robin Hood, without that whole messy living in the forest thing.

Jim Carrey has been a bit unhinged for a bit longer than Trump's been in office I think. I recall back around 2012 or later he divulged that he had mental problems, took medication and delved into some odd practices involving paper spells (among other things) where he would write out incantations on slips of paper and carry them on his person so they can imprint on his mana or something, then throw them in the river when they're ready. There were other things he mentioned but I read that ages ago. If anyone knows what I'm talking about and can help me find the article, I'd appreciate it.

don't forget, when Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy were dating, both were vocal agiasnt children getting vaccines.
And they had rallies of "Green our Vaccines".
And Jenny's son had autism and later she said he was cured. I have a feeling the son never had Autism, but she used it to have a movement to fill her failing career.
But the interesting from all this, a few years later, there was a outbreak of smallpox in Disney Land and started to spread. I remember the Daily Show with John Stewart did a piece about this. So, maybe all this anti-vaccine talk contribute to the small outbreak
Bottom line, Jim Carrey is one crazy nut job and maybe bullshit artist who is a member of a the party of science.

I remember that. I happened to a short plane ride away for work at the time, and to this day I regret not taking a PTO day to go to a completely empty Disney Land (plus I'd had my MMR booster only a year before).
