I don't think you owe anyone on the forum any sort of apology. The attitude that various Christorical figures "owe" info to the rest of us has always struck me as silly. Probably grows out of justifying a desire for content.

As for your introspection about trolling Chris, I suppose that is something you do have to figure out. I guess all I can say is the past is the done, so you just have to figure out the future. Determining exactly how guilty you should or shouldn't feel can be a useless exercise in self-flagellation. Feel free to PM me if you want a non-insider sounding board or anything.

You do raise an interesting point that anything posted on the main board here is also available to Chris. That seems particularly relevant to the Catherine "revelation". Although I suppose Chris' ability to deny reality might carry him through. Not sure if if that is a good or bad thing.

I think it's better to wait for the drop to get your answers. I'm OK with fessing up for the role I played in this, but I don't think it's right for me to take that liberty with other people. They have to choose their own time.

Well, I can at least tell you that they met up physically. Chris posted about it on Facebook when people were saying she was fake.

Happens with many. They simply move over time - more so if the piercing is badly infected, and the body is trying to reject it.

Chris's communications with Rebeckah just trailed off. I have since closed the account.

Rebeckah was replaced by a sex-positive version of herself. This was the woman who encouraged Chris to post about being a "proud slut". It was Rebeckah repackaged in a way to encourage Chris to get out and become more active in the LGBT community. There was no trolling involved, except that this wasn't a real person. All of the advice given was good, solid advice and would actually benefit Chris if he listened to i t.

I left out one detail. The piercing had migrated, and Chris re-pierced himself with a SAFETY PIN. Again, I was horrified. I told him that he needed to take it out, and that he should see a doctor because getting a hold of some antibiotics may be a good idea.

They brought up some valid points though. At some point, I had to take a step back and question my motivations. I can honestly say that I thought I was helping Chris, but I went overboard with the "tough love". I think I was so focused on the can it be done aspect that I failed to take other factors into consideration.

I've already explained my motivations. As far as "great content" I didn't think these emails were ever going to see the light of day. I never intended them to be for public view, so that wasn't a motivating factor.

I suppose you could call it a sort of social experiment, which I know doesn't really justify anything but it's a lot closer to what I was actually aiming for.

Like I said, I'm still asking myself why I did this. When I finally figure it all out I promise I'll share with everyone.

Back in college, I knew a guy who pierced his own nipples with the help of a safety pin, ice cubes, and whiskey. This was long before body-piercings were fashionable, so you can imagine how outre this was to us.

I spend my Fridays packing gauze into bedsores that go to the bone. I can handle a tainted taint. If the issue is posting it here, then I understand completely. But grossing me out? Impossible.
