Let's give credit where credit is due. Trump was actually born the son of a lowly real estate developer millionaire. Only through his herculean efforts has he been able to pull himself out of that mediocrity.

And *that's* why he was elected. Americans love an underdog. Seriously, his ruthless, lead-pipe ethics are what got him nominated as well as elected. He made no bones about how he got where he is. He didn't try to be the Republican poster boy. That's why the voters flocked to him. He wasn't blowing smoke up our asses all campaign long. He calls it like he sees it, and he's a moneymaker. He can get us back into the black. We voted him in for economics, not statesmanship. If it's good for the Donald, it must be good for the country, no?

That was the theory anyway. Get the shrewd, bottom-line-obsessed negotiator to turn things around. But we didn't get John Maynard Keynes. Or Dale Carnegie. Fuck, we didn't even get Ross Perot. We've got an 80's corporate raider type who isn't shy of resorting to scorched earth if that's what it takes to benefit him. He's as much Don King and PT Barnum as he is businessman.

Frankly, I'm a little underwhelmed. That North Korea deal? What did we get? I'll tell you what Kim-whatever got: cancellation of joint military exercises with our most important strategic ally in the whole region, the ROK. Sorry if I'm stuck in Cold War thinking, but that seemed like a pretty bad idea.

To me, the man seems out of his element. That's not praise, nor an attack. He just doesn't seem to be a natural at politics. Now, all those absolute shrill, panicked morons over at Reddiot that actually think he is such a threat to democracy we need to cancel elections (seriously, I can't make this shit up, or, for that matter, umderstand it) well, they just all need to be euthanized.

I like to think that a senior democratic congressman had a private talk with her to stop being such an idiot on Twitter and then she just turned around and smugly parroted what was told to her to save face.

Incidentally, I knows a guy who knows a guy in the Furry Community. He says they have a term for furfags who get extra attention-whorey, - "Sparkle-Dogs."

I also love the fact that Sonic the Hedgefox placed skull icons after the words "Suck My Dick." Is he admitting he has the AIDS and that servicing him sexually will result in the suckers' hideous, pus-filled deaths? Very brave of him to come out with that in public.

It's interesting how one of their first defenses is so often "What I said wasn't _____" when there was no possible other point to saying it. It's either a lie or an admission that everything they say is meaningless.

I can imagine how much of a train wreck she's going to be to millions of Americans. Luckily for her, since she's in a blue state, she'll stay until she retires and will have all the corporate money in her pockets.
