Might be very OT, so accept my humble apologies in advance:

Carl Benjamin aka Sargon of Akkad has been banned from Patreon for allegedly racial slurs and/or hatespeech. The incident occured not on the Patreon platform, but in a YT video that's ten months old, and not on one of his channels, but on one of his political adversaries. You may think what you want of CB, but this incident is a clear violation of Patreons own TOS, which "only" does not allow above given negatives on its platform. The "Trust & Safety Team" of Patreon though feels that such behaviour in general (means: as evident on other platforms than Patreon) is enough to revoke a person of their Patreon account.

Now, what has this to do with Phil Burnell. Well, given the fact, that our little pigroach has used racial and/or homophobic slurs to da max in his own videos in the past (and still likes to dance on the rope hanging above the abyss of racial/homophobic comments) and these videos are still around on the internet, he should better watch out not to get on the bad side of Patreon - meager as his income via Patreon might be atm, it would still be around $ 6.000 per year he could kiss his ass goodbye. You read this Phil? Don't be a nasty boy, ok?

It definitely hits all the classics in terms of references and general scumminess. I hope this is real as much as I don't. I do because this absolutely proves he wouldn't have mentioned it. Meaning his viewers would still be expected to pony up the full extra 16k instead of a still wholly unreasonable 7k.

I hope it's not because this would be a legitimate low point for him. No defense would justify this fuckery. Surely even his hardcore would be hard-pressed to even try.

Very interesting though.

So let me get this straight... he wants to be able to accept $9k Western Union (THIS IS HOW SCAM ARTISTS STEAL YOUR MONEY TAX FREE) and doesn’t want anyone to know it happened?

Holy fuck this isn’t gonna look good for Phil, and the effort to make it seem like he’s going to claim said money and wants it afterwards... There is NO TRACE of money sent through Western Union, this is literally how NIGERIAN SCAMMERS OPERATE.

Of course this is all a lie and a conspiracy and neither the e-mail nor the video proves anything as it is very easy to fake such messages with tools available today. This is all coming from detractors who want to destroy his livelyhood. Please donate or he will lose his house. Then donate some more so he can marry the ogre. Then tip him so he can pay his taxes. Our PROFESSIONAL STREAMER had to take his 2nd or 3rd bathroom break of the day........

Western Union is a money transfer service that doesn’t require identification and really can’t be traced once the payment is received. Scammers use it because of lack of identifying information, all you need is an authentication number, input it on a screen and get cash. Phil probably wants to use it as it’s easier to keep the money and there’s no reason you would need to claim it, unless you’re a responsible person and not a borderline criminal.

Western Union is a money wiring service. A party goes to a Western Union location, fills out a form and gives the amount to be sent plus a handling fee. The recipient goes to a Western Union location in their area and with the proper information ( recipient name, security question and sender's phone number ) and is given the amount sent in cash. No formal ID, social security or tax numbers required.

Gifts of money under $10k do not need to be reported to the IRS. It would have been more telling if the amount had been $10k or over and D$P had asked any check sent be split into two as to avoid the $10k reporting a bank would do.
