Let me rephrase. On what videos is he getting those 15k to 20k per day views on? Is there any way we can track that? @Destro1986 might be correct in saying that rando's still view them but I don't quite buy it. I know viewers of his in the past said they just turn their computers on and let his playlists run but that is a shit ton of views for that excuse.

By the way, DSP came back from his break today and did some kind of mid-stream. First of all he warned people that if he acted angry today it was not because of the game or anything, but because of things "behind the scenes" that have been going on the past week. Next to that he mentioned that his bank account overdrew and that every tip goes directly towards bills.

BUT the most interesting thing he said, was: he has been in contact with someone who wanted to have one of his statues and that they would do a "behind-the-scenes donation", but that person has "disappeared" after DSP took pictures of the statues and he now considers that person a "jerk" that "wasted his time".

What? I say: what!? Didn't you, a mere couple of days ago, tell everyone and their mothers that you wanted to protect someone by keeping everything completely secret in fear of that person getting harassed or whatever the fuck? How would that be different from someone giving you money to support your financial situation in exchange for a statue? Wouldn't that person be a possible "juicy" target? I mean, how often does it happen that a fan actually buys something from you in order to show his (financial) support? That's pretty rare, man. Sounds to me that this person would be completely vulnerable, even by the standards you set, e.g. "even an anonymous donator can be tracked down, so that's why I wanted to keep it behind the scenes".

Remember he wanted people to email him to bid on the statues, so he could avoid ebay/amazon, whichever charged taxes or something. I'm pretty ignorant to it. Anyway, how would you know if you got outbid? How could you know if he's telling you the real bid number(like it could be higher to his liking)?

Also I have not heard any reasoning why he doesn't add up tip totals/cheer totals for the stream. He only puts the top one and resets it each stream. How can he get his fans to help with whatever dumb goal he has if he wont at least keep a visual bar so everyone feels like they are AT LEAST putting some sort of dent, and not some arbitrary number he came up with.

Of course I also cannot remember if he's been questioned yet, or called out. At this point he will just rewrite history and say that he never did that and yadda yadda.

Though I must say it all comes across as a bit too "avid fan"-like. Like he's trying too hard to get noticed by DSP. A bit fishy.
Oh well, maybe he's just going through the first fase of the fan-to-detractor-transformation. Only time will tell.


I don't remember him donating/cheering any notable sum. He "only" has 100-bit badge next to a 6-month sub badge. But maybe @actually can provide some more insight into that subject.

Yeah, hopper's been around for a good while (first as vdante, then as the_hopper_ ). That said, they've donated all of about 8 bucks. I'm not really going to look through tips to see if anything's there, but I don't recall anything significant from someone named vdante or hopper. I guess they've just kissed enough ass for long enough to be consider True and Loyal (TM).

He said yesterday that the account hadn't been overdrawn yet due to tips from the day before. But yesterday, he only got like $50-60 in tips (don't have the exact number yet), so if his big bill actually came out today, he could easily have overdrawn. Guess he shouldn't have gone shopping with Kat on his day off. He got a $100 tip from Henk Douma and $20 from Wheelin' Dealin' Rob Warren, so he ought to be a little happier. Unless that big bill was bigger than that, I guess.

I think sometime before the first fundraiser he was fiddling around with an automatic counter and he had to nix it because he couldn't get it not to show his lifetime Twitch total. Guessing there is some easy fix Phil couldn't take the time to google once he would rather lean over everytime a new cheer/tip comes in. Plus he can't be the realist guy on the internet and put out how much money he made on Twitch, might raise some questions.

Random question and I think something worth looking in to. Phil is averaging between 25k to 30k views per day. I look at his recent videos and he is getting less than 1k per video. Now granting that people will lag behind and catch up on the playthroughs, as of late the DQ, Darksiders, etc playthroughs are still not crossing the 1k view mark. Where is the 15k to 20k views per day deficit coming from? That has bothered me for some time.

2D2will use to track dsp views every month. It was typical for 50 to 60% of his views to come from old videos. It is just a game of numbers with 50k videos someone will randomly find them and watch.

I believe this was his last version of the file, pretty old but I doubt much has changed. If anything it might be more towards his old videos since he went to longer videos.
