Jason Momoa has an astonishing amount of charisma, and it seems to be 'cross platform' -- appealing to both genders. Single data point (myself), but Momoa strikes me as a guy it'd be awesome to sit down and have a beer with, maybe learn how to throw hatchets at a target.

Obviously, women have a different appeal (the phrase 'climb that man like a tree' has cropped up a few times), but regardless, Momoa seems to have an excellent knack for being likeable.

So of course Bob will hate the guy. He's everything Bob isn't and clearly is having fun too.

Momoa is so freaking charismatic he's charming even when speaking a made up language of gibberish. Of course someone like Bob is going to be resentful of that.

This is pure late :autism: but condering Captain Britian's powers are tied to the state of the land and country, wouldn't that create issues with.....whatever label you want to put on Bob's weird "one world rule now" beliefs? Not that he'd have to be some ultra-nationalist but that doesn't jive with Bob's usual "My nation must be destroyed to make way for the Superior Future!"

Something that I ever wonder if Bob was even aware what lead to the downfall of Ming Dynasty China? It again was a supernation that had so much power, but because of it had little competition in their sphere, couple that with a very bureaucratic state with an all powerful ruler whose decisions lead to the stagnation of a nation that once was the master innovator, and it wasn't surprising that Britain was able to smash them on the coast.
