In a way, it really is the best ending that John could have had.

But truly this is the best ending for his poor mother, he is locked up and if she has any sense, she will make her peace with the situation and move on and forget.

Sometimes its best to forget, also to change your phone number.

This is probably the happiest ending our Priest could get, in all honesty. With enough medication and a routine in the loony bin, he might come down enough to be only garden variety crazy instead of off the fucking charts. He should probably be kept there for life, but I hope for his mother's sake that he is at least kept in there until she passes so that she doesn't have to worry about him anymore.
 
This is probably one of the only cows who have a happy ending. This was the right move to take, so hey, the system does work some times after all.

I’m gonna miss this thread, but all things considered I’m glad it ended this way of all ways it could’ve ended (Bulla being raped daily in prison, Bulla gradually tarding himself to death in a forgotten hovel somewhere or on the streets...)
 
It's for the best, honestly. Going by just his rap sheet, he was clearly a danger to himself & others (though arguably more to others).

I could see him going the way of Terry & taking a train to the kisser otherwise.
 
I mean, what else is there to say? This is probably the best ending overall. Bulla would have no doubt continued to do insane bullshit until he either got killed by someone or died in a ditch himself. I will miss his dumpy looking house and the stickers though :( (sexually)

Normally I would be very hesitant on something like that but I get the feeling that mom has put up with enough. Imagine having to deal with this when you're at the age when your kids should be looking after you.
 
I hope he's in a place where he can get the help he desperately needs. Increasingly severe mental illness has always been hard for me to watch, it's something that utterly terrifies me to even contemplate happening to myself.

I don't think John will ever be fully sane or lucid again, and that's probably for the best to be honest.
 
What a ride it's been. I'm the most sorry for his mother... having to put up with two insane children (remember his brother is just as crazy) at the age of 93. Wonder why they turned out this way, maybe the mom herself had something to do with it. Thank you so much brainbleachneeded, without you many of Bulla's antics and demise would have probably gone unnoticed.
