Bunny boiler is a slang term for a stalker-like woman or a psycho ex-girlfriend.

It comes from the movie “Fatal Attraction”, in which Glenn Close’s character has an affair with a man and stalks him after he brushes it off as a one night stand. She goes full psycho and boils the pet rabbit of his new lover.

She is clearly trying to draw a parallel to her befriending of JonTron’s girlfriend on Etsy. Some people apparently warned the girl about Harriet and the budding “friendship” was quashed.

That she invented the idea that we had called her a bunny boiler is rather telling. I think she may have a little self-awareness after all. Projecting...

That's why I wrote "the recognition and acceptance that she thinks comes with being high-functioning". I didn't want to imply that I agreed with her. High-functioning or no there is something broken in the brain of people with autism and I really don't think the way to fix it is to put them on a pedestal, which is what clearly happened here.
