Too complicated. Anyone hiring him as an independent contractor legally has to give him tax forms. He can either fill them out in his name or the name of his corporation, but "Violet Hargrave" is a fictitious entity. I'd actually imagine that this has happened before to him, and may account for several of the mysterious disappearances of friends and writing gigs. He can say we're wrong and didn't leak his real info and he's not Jake Alley of Niantic (East Lyme), Connecticut, but the moment anyone gives him even a small amount of paid work, the tax paperwork proves we were exactly right about that, and gives the rest of the information more credibility.

He still doesn't realize that the one part of what we've said that he should cop to is his personal information: it'd let him complain more clearly about being doxed and ruined by evil nazis, and it'd make it so that finding out the absolute basics of Jake's real life would no longer inherently make much else about his thread more trustworthy.

It would also relieve Jake’s biggest problem and stress - it reveals the big neckbeard behind the curtain immediately instead of them finding out later.

He meets ppl on twitter and gives the song and dance about being a oppressed, struggling trans woman and then they find out the truth. His babbling rationalizations only make it worse. It also gives authority to everything in this thread and makes all his claims on twitter look like the bullshit that they are. All the googleshengs and words in the world don’t change the facts which infuriates Jake.

Jake pretty much only posts as SGG on Twitter these days, so there's not much to monitor beyond skimming through his tweets - most of which are re-tweets. The mind-numbing aspect comes from him being such a boring person. He rarely has anything new to say at all. It's mostly just rehashes of stuff he's said multiple times before.

It's interesting that he still hasn't acknowledged the troon being found guilty in the Skepticat case. It would ruin has narrative of the troon being the victim. He's willing to pass up the opportunity to call the UK court "transphobic" in order to maintain the lie.

Jake seems genuinely butthurt that Hotwheels was not (immediately) arrested and thrown in jail as a result of Jake's "tip-offs". It's an interesting insight into Jake's power fantasies. We got a glimpse of it in the CON logs, but here you see the progression.

I know other people like this and it stems from having very little experience with the real world and too much focus on TV and movies as a model for behavior (his use of “yon” comes from this as well— TV characters need to have quirks or other notable traits so the audience remembers them). This is why I see Jake as distinct from other a lolcows precisely for his indistinctness. Under normal circumstances he’d just be a shut in who spends all his time on TT forums, but through a quirk of fate, he found slight fame from GamerGate and has ridden in to small-scale twitter notability.

No he can’t drive. Part of the reason he claims he can’t get a job is because there are no places close to him (lie), he can’t walk that far (True), and there is no public transportation (lie).
He has to take a disabled service van to his therapist appointments.

He could buy a junker with his Patreon but that doesn’t solve the problem is you can’t just park somewhere indefinitely and live there. Not only will property owners and police force you to move but it would inhabital for someone of Jake’s size. Jake could have all his identification documents taken care of, including Ubers/Lyfts to each location, and including a new US Passport with photos taken and everything, by using a single month of Patreon income.
