This is just tedious. Everyone with an entry level understanding of politics knows that National socialisim is the opposite of socialism. This is the laziest attempt at cynicism I have ever seen and I know for a fact he has conceeded that the nazis were not socialist numerous times, the most recent being against Kevin Logan.

The fact that he has come back to this cannard time and again, no matter how many times he is corrected and agrees to the correction, leads me to believe he either has dementia or is just the most incompetent political hack on the planet.

Honestly, I don't think it was the nigger part of his rant that damned him since if it ended there, he could have brushed it off as making a comparison to a caricature like what the boondocks did.

The "white people don't act like this" part pretty much damns him from any backtracking though.

In order to stay relevant he has to produce content on regular basis and he is not smart (or talented) enough to do it. So what happens is that he continues repeating same talking points.

I don't blame Sargon for not wanting to have anything more to do with Patreon, but he and his supporters look like giant children for claiming this to be a great injustice. It just looks like the normal bullshit you have to deal with when working with a public facing company, and if you can't even do that, then you can't function at all in the real world.

What really strikes me here is that his argument is that he agrees with them but doesn't want to apologize. To me there are more or less 2 scenarios here:

1. Carl thinks racism and more broadly pointing to racial group average differences is bad but doesn't think racist humor should be taboo. He is so fixated on wanting racist humor to not be taboo that he refuses to simply play ball and make a public statement that he abhors racism and is sorry for his choice of words while explaining the context of what he was allegedly trying to do.

2. Carl wants people to be able to be supported on Patreon while saying "racist" things. He acknowledges he used a racial slur in a derogatory way, but that is ok.

While I am of a mind that payment processors if not Patreon should be treated as utilities, I don't see why Carl wouldn't have played ball with a concept he allegedly fundamentally agrees with Patreon on against the "altright trolls"

National Socialism and Fascism really don't fit neatly on a right/left economic paradigm. It would probably land somewhere in the middle or slightly left economically because of the strong social programs mixed with private property rights and ability to occasionally ouster executives the party deems harmful to the people. People just don't like to be honest about it because it's easier this way. There's a reason its proponents considered it a "third way" between pure capitalist style Robber Barons and Marxism. To put it in a more understandable context, you can't tell me a country with a Bernie Sanders style guaranteed living wage government jobs program is far right economically.

Also, since when are 501(c)(4) style activism groups charities? (yes I have independently confirmed this is an available option for a "charity" there)

But seriously, getting the payment processor thing fixed isn't going to be quick, if at all... so how is it worth 144k/year to not say "well, this is awkward. I phrased that really badly and I didn't mean to offend anyone. I understand how the thing I said could be taken in an extremely racist way and I apologize. I was trying to use the racist rhetoric against them, but I was angry and maybe I'm not eloquent enough to correctly do that even in a clear state of mind"?
