TGWTG Hope Chapman / Jacob "Jack" Chapman / JesuOtaku - Self-loathing weaboo redneck. Blew her way to ANN gig. Goon and troon.

Besides the ones I listed, what shows does Hope like?

I listened to the Best of the 80s, 90s, and 2000 shows that ANNCast did (way too many hours). Each panelist had to pick 10 shows from each decade.

If I recall correctly, she said her absolute favorite anime of all time was Full Metal Alchemist and rated it #1 in the 2000s block.

However, she also makes it a point she didn't like Brotherhood. This actually became an issue when I was trying to decide between the two. A female friend who was a big FMA fan said "She's full of shit. Watch Brotherhood." So, I did, and love it. I'm not sure I respect Hope's opinion enough to spend time on the original.

If I remember correctly, JO also likes Gurren Lagann

She thought it was okay, but bitched about Yoko, and it didn't rank in her 2000s list. In fact it didn't made anybody's list, sadly.

ANN's opinions are consistently awful. A common way to bait anon on /m/ is to post an article of theirs in the OP. From there, it's simply a matter of time.

Actually, I'm gonna disagree with this ever-so-slightly, and credit Theron Martin for mentioning FLAG as #6 in his best of 2000s. A rather obscure TV series from 2006 that used a found footage gimmick I've never seen before in anime. It was an interesting show I wouldn't have watched otherwise.

But yeah, otherwise, they're pretty meh. I generally don't follow them when planning what to watch. That was the exception to the rule.

Jacob Chapman doesn't seem to like the fact that the second Fate Stay Night movie about Heaven's Feel is staying true to the original route.

Hope is a sperg when it comes to Fate. I think it might be to her what SAO is to Digibro. She wrote a fucking novel worth of posts on the forums concerning everything she thinks is wrong with Zero. You can view them here (but I honestly recommend not):

IIRC, she's also bitched extensively about the "depiction of women" in the series (because, of course).

Didn't Hope dress in a bikini to imitate Yoko during the intro to the Gurren Lagann review? Man, that was one of my first reviews I watched, and it even had Chester A. Bum.

As JO, yes.

And fuck if she ain't ugly. Thank you so much for reminding me... asshole. :lit:

I'm talking about the one they did on ANNCast. Her and her husband Zac had to get their hits in concerning the "sexism," and I know for a fact it didn't make their top shows of the 2000s list. I suspect like most SJWs, they tend to get more SJWish as time goes on.

Weird, since I heard Jacob liked Gurren Lagann and even gave a positive review on ANN.

This Heaven's Feel shit is pissing me off lmao

Heaven's Feel is MEANT to be an obscenely shocking route. I haven't even played the route (I watch the anime first and I've seen the first movie, but I've seen Zero and can put two and two together with Sakura/the grail/her family etc), but it focuses on the most underhanded family in the Fate series and how they'll do bar none fucking anything to win before they can't anymore.

I'm not surprised they kept all the shocking shit in this one, but you can't act like the other routes they've adapted aren't pretty fucked up/aren't super sexualized. The protagonist fucks someone in every route, maybe not in great detail in some of the anime but still... A fucking plane gets shot out of the sky, a character abandons his wife and child permanently, and children get killed in Zero. Fate is a pretty adult franchise, and as someone mentioned earlier, it's based off an H-Game/Ero-Game so sex is to be expected.

Also in that same Twitter thread:

"Both Heaven's Feel and Kizumonogatari are films I primarily consume by watching clips of the beautiful animation because the stories themselves are kinda yikes..... Ah well...."

No. There is no way the person that Tweeted this is 18. I know plenty of people that have watched the Monogatari series/the Kizumonogatari series and not one of them would describe the story as "yikes". There's a reason Kizumonogatari III is rated higher than most Ghibli movies. This person just cannot get their head around sex in entertainment.

JesuOtaku is everything wrong with anime, and her followers are just as bad. Let the people that make this shit do what they think will make for the best experience, even if it means keeping in shit you dislike. Maybe don't bitch about Heaven's Feel II when it hasn't been translated to English yet.

This is the actual H-scene (spoilers!): https://files.catbox.moe/7mavfx.mp4

That's it? Jacob was up in arms over this? That scene wasn't even all that graphic. You could've had this in a softcore romance movie. What the hell, Jacob?!

Not a Fate fan (only saw Zero) so I'm lost as fuck, but I took a quick look at the comments and saw this:

Lol JO and romance :story:. I thought maybe she was upset that the chick has boobs because she never had impressive tits and it's the envy/pettiness talking, but it must be even dumber. What's Hope got against the Fate series, anyway? Because it's an H-game and H-games automatically means misogyny? Um...
amZagQxw3_480w_v1.jpg

So what makes Katawa Shoujo a better H-game than Fate, according to Hope? It has no misogyny? She abandoned the dubbing project (think around the time she first trooned out), sure, but she was all for it back then.

It has cripples in it. Seriously. That's almost certainly why she thinks it's better.

But seriously, imagine comparing Katawa Shoujo to Fate in the first place. It's apples to oranges. Katawa Shoujo is what, a 10-15 hour experience (maybe double that for total completion)? Fate's three routes can take nearly 100 hours to complete. Katawa Shoujo is meant to be something you knock out in a couple sessions, and go through a whole roller-coaster of emotions playing. Fate is meant to be a way of life as you play it, practically. It's pretentious and lengthy as fuck, and that's almost certainly the beauty of it.

And if we really want to get technical? Practically all H-Games are misogynist from the insane leftist/troon viewpoint. So many of them take place in Japanese high schools, and there is no set of garments on Earth, save for maybe literal undergarments, more sexualized than a Japanese schoolgirl uniform. Women are literally the protagonist's fucktoys in most VNs, not gonna lie. That's why you see so much discussion of shit like Fate and Clannad. Fate has pretty strong female characters, and when they end up inevitably sexing the protagonist, it's almost always for a reason lore wise. Clannad's main route... well. Nagisa from Clannad is a whole different breed of female character. Literally one of the best written characters in any VN ever, IMO.

I am shocked I'd never heard of JesuOtaku ever with how much weeb bullshit garbage I've seen, sidenote. I'm quite happy I'd never heard of her until recently, cause he/she/it seems to enjoy stinking up any franchise I actually enjoyed watching.

One of the male feminists in Hope's autismosphere got outed as another pedo sex pest. Any reaction?
Not surprising. A guy calling himself a 'male feminist' is almost always going to turn out to be a sex-pest of some variety.

I expect, if there isn't solid, irrefutable evidence of it, she'll defend him until it gets too hot for her to handle then drop him. 50/50 odds she'll claim that said guy harassed her as well.

To answer the whole thing about FMA and Brotherhood, the original anime was a traditional case of the anime going past the current point of the manga, with the OG author helping the crew come up with an original ending to their series. Later, Brotherhood came out and was a far more faithful adaptation of the manga, but it's widely agreed that the original FMA series' first 8-12 episodes are better if you're coming into the series for the first time. Brotherhood speeds through those episodes to get to the new content, so it's not a great entry point to the series.

The ANN staff had already removed his stuff from the site and they are all disowning him. It's always the kind of people...
