Star Trek - Space: The Final Frontier

They better bring The Sisko in as a guest in the Picard series to punch Jean-Luc in the mouth like he did Q.

With O'Brien and worf cheering him on.
Absolutely fucking not. Sisko doesnt need to be brought in to this train wreck. Let him rest with the prophets with infinite platters of Creole food* and endless alien manlets to bitch-slap.

Also both Miles and Worf have suffered enough.

*part of my high esteem for Sisko is the fact that me watching DS9 for the first time 5 or 6 years ago inspired me to try Creole food and thus introduced me to my absolute favourite cuisine and my one true culinary love of Jambalaya

That's why they should all come back to laugh at what John Luke Pickard has become.

They should never come back for a serious episode.

Since that time *weeks* ago that I asked about the best time to start watching Enterprise, I actually decided to say fuck it and started (slowly) watching Enterprise from the beginning.

Halfway through season 2, I was surprised by a few things...
1: So far, this show has been dumb... Like, really really dumb.
2: It's also been wildly inconsistent... The biggest example I can think to show this is the Chief Engineer, Trip Tucker,.. Half the time, this guy is a total retard, who fucks up even the most basic things, and... the other half, he's *so* competent that he's asked to help random aliens (whom nobody on Earth has even met, so their tech should be totally different from ours) and in every one of those I've seen so far, he managed to fix technology...

For "some" reason, when I was originally watching Enterprise, I seem to remember mentally comparing Trip to George W. Bush. Lol. At the moment, I'm doubting my previous self for thinking GWB was even half that competent. Lol.

That's funny, I always thought of Archer as Captain Bush.

Half the time, this guy is a total exceptional individual, who fucks up even the most basic things, and... the other half, he's *so* competent that he's asked to help random aliens (whom nobody on Earth has even met, so their tech should be totally different from ours) and in every one of those I've seen so far, he managed to fix technology...

Don't forget that Trip is a Florida Man.

So, just saw the new episode, can't be bothered to spoiler it. The amount of REMEMBER SPOCK??? was insane, the action scene was boring, they were incredibly obvious and on the nose about their YASS QWEEN SLAYY moments, they did a roll call for the Discovery bridge crew because they realised they didn't actually introduce any of them in S1, The Cage reference just makes you roll your eyes and Tilly is still fat and spergy.

And they had a perfectly good opportunity to kill off a redshirt for the memes, but they must've realised they accidentally made her a woman so OOPS can't kill her.

I'm already dreading having Georgiou back. The trailer made her plotline and character seem extra cringe-edgy, especially since she's now with Section 31. Gonna be a hoot to see if she tells Michael she's part of them or if Michael randomly knows this, because the latter creates a lot of problems. I'm also still waiting to see if we're going to start having hints for whatever had to break Michael and Sarek's relationship since she's never mentioned in his list of "people I care about" in the episode "Sarek" in TNG.

Sarek knew it was logical not to give a shit about Mary Sue Burnham.

That random extra in a wheelchair in the background.
Why?

Actually, I'm pretty sure that was the joke: "We've got a random Redshirt, but she lives!"

Also, who the fuck is that robot woman they have on the bridge? You'd think she'd at least get an explanation.

She's a fucking robot.

She's Lieutenant Commander Airiam. It's sad that the viewers had to wait until a season later to hear the name of the bridge crew. They're finally allowed to say something other than "well done Burnham" or "you're smarter than us, Burnam".

...and nobody thinks that anyone watching might say "What the fuck's up with her?"

She's a cyborg augment alien(?) of some sort iirc. CBS posted some character intros a while back that said what their species was and whatnot, and I'm pretty sure hers said augment. We'll probably have to wait for S19 to get her backstory though, Michael Sue's adventures are more important.

So what did they do to Saru aka the only character worth caring about?
