Who cares, they were bigots who didn't push diversity hard enough to save the industry. What about when the few left that haven't already gone out of business go under?

Comic shops that don’t know Zoe’s history and we’re fooled into thinking she would be a big seller.Who the fuck bought 17,471 copies of this shit?
Better than I expected, will probably upset some of the long term comic pros who can’t break those numbers. It’s all downhill from there.December Numbers are in, oh boy she must have promised to suck off an entire Comic-Con's worth of soyboys:

Watch as this number drops by over 60% by the 2nd issue.
The comics industry is currently in a "Post-Sales" era. Basically, a book that sells (ships) below the supposed minimum number of orders required will continue because of reasons not tied to how well they sell or how popular they are. As long as the book exists for political or personal reasons it is forced onto the market at the expense of the comic shops.
Average drop in the new Vertigo comics is only 40%. Reissues for number ones are around 1250 copies. I'm waiting to see how many people stick with any of the series to issue 3.December Numbers are in, oh boy she must have promised to suck off an entire Comic-Con's worth of soyboys:

Then they storm Jeff Bezos' house and demand he host the comic and post it on the front page of Amazon even for people who don't like comics. Until he tells Alexa to arm the machine turrets. What about when the few left that haven't already gone out of business go under?
edit: She probably hopes for a Mark Millar(Kick Ass etc) situation where some network/studio picks up the rights to make a movie/show before the third issue is out. Then she, like Mark Millar, can hang around Hollywood instead of completing the comic. I would be surprised if she didn't see the comic thing as a stepping stone into something more prestigious and film/tv/netflix would be one of those things.
It's possible. Even if it just gets optioned and nothing happens, that's easily six figures, a nice fat score for a worthless whore like Chelsea.
Whether or not it does, though, she cares less about the immediate money from this project and more because it lends some fake credibility to whatever her next scam is, now that she's probably burned out the idiots willing to give her free money for nonexistent games.

Seems like maybe she's got a nice little thing going with the optioning. Not sure who would option this when there's literally hundreds of superheroes/comics that haven't been made into movies though.
The woke crowd is very petty and jealous of each other. Shuri only sold a few copies more than Zoe’s debut comic and the author is a fairly famous woke black woman who’s written several books. Zoe wrote an autobiography that was garbage and she got handed a comic book. This is an interesting angle I never considered. Keeping in mind how petty and small-minded Current Year comics-proers are I bet it rustled some feathers to see someone with zero experience roll in and get her girldick sucked into doing a Vertigo title that while under-performing and likely to be DOA by issue #3, still kicks the shit out of the dogshit they've been pumping out and with far more attention and fanfare than they've ever gotten.

Netflix would and it worries me that they’re going to replace their acclaimed Marvel shows with cheap trash licenses they pick up at a DC fire sale
Like clockwork:The only members of the public buying it are idiots like D&C in order to review bomb it.
Didn't the same thing happen with her book? Didn't it get optioned and never released by Amy Pascal?
