while most other people (in this line of work) would most likely have an epiphany at some point and think: maybe there are things I can do to improve myself/the content so revenue will be higher while not working myself towards a burnout.
willing to bet phil was the kind of kid who pretended to get sick to get attention or something, and when that didn't work he just kept it up instead of doing something worth getting attention with.

Phil just can't help himself...

"as i couldn't care less about superbowl"
WHY AM I TAHXIC?!

i mean, i don't care either, but i'm not going to just yell it to the void like a whiny baby

At least once during this stream, we'll get a comment about how views or donations are low because 'everyone is watching the Superbowl', so it is the fault of No Talent Tom Brady and the sheeple watching him. If you want the wood for a good failure shield, the first step is to plant the seed for the tree.

Tevin just screen capped Phil asking in his chat where Wings lives. He's curious if they'd ever be matched together in Black Ops because of geographic proximity. I wonder how Phil would feel about people doxing him in Wings' chat. "He let his fans talk about where I live! I don't know if the gates will hold when they come for me! Send tips!"

Five straight days of double streams, because the straits he's in are just that dire.
That feel when Phil tries to sell a normal work week as extra hard work. I also liked his 10 hours of work story a while back. You upload videos to YT that show how long you're active every day Phil, and it's rarely in excess of 6.5. Even at 10, this is still less than a normal work week for most people, especially if you roll commutes into that (like he counts running downstairs for his breaky).

EDIT: 2 minutes into the prestream and we've blamed the Superbowl for low views. Bravo, Philip.

On today's prestream he announced that the retrospective stream will be February 13. He is taking February 14 off so he and Kat can spend Valentine's Day together. We'll refer back to this when he streams on Valentine's Day because Tevin made Kat leave the house.

"ive been in debt for 2 years and stressing the whole time, and i finally decided to day to look into how i can change some stuff to try to make it better, since my pigs arent paying enough to me anymore to not worry about it"
Just an excuse to not edit anymore while also double-dipping and spinning it into a pity-party, which is a Phil special.

He forgot to record the prestream. Basic function of his job. Good thing that Machinima rant isn't out there... for the 50th time.

I'm just going to point out that this Valentine's rendezvous would be right in line with the arrival of his bills that leave his account overdrawn. Allegedly.

"I need as much content as possible to try and raise as much funds as possible."

That sentence right there pretty much sums up DSP's entire character and the way most people know him. It's interesting to see he directly connects making more money to working more, while most other people (in this line of work) would most likely have an epiphany at some point and think: maybe there are things I can do to improve myself/the content so revenue will be higher while not working myself towards a burnout. But I guess that's really not an option in Mister NothingICouldDo's mind; he's always at peak performance and the things that impact him in a negative way are always outside of his control.

He’s the literal definition of “worker harder not smarter you guys *snort*”

I missed the start of the rant, but he was also talking about the legal system as it pertains to copyright and spouted off about how a judge would just dismiss a case if he didn't feel like listening to the arguments, which is so absolutely pants-on-head re.tarded, I can't fully put it into words.
I heard part of this. Calling the judge lazy.

He was also trying to use the use word favorably (as in 'Google acted favorably towards X') but instead came up with a new one: favoratisticly.

He conveniently, “forgot,” to record the prestream and informed us of that IMMEDIATELY AFTER aHUGE Machinima rant where he accused the CEO of tanking Machinima and a bunch of other companies. Said it didn’t matter because it was owned by a bunch of dudes who grew up with a silver spoon in their mouths and could afford to just ruin a company trying to pull it too many ways. Accused CEO of tanking Zynga as well.

Also conveniently ignored chat who was not having it and were practically begging him to just shut up and let it go.

Typical Dark fashion, he’s currently blaming everything from lag to people quickscoping and using wallhacks. At one point he actually said, “I’m the best player on this team, not that it really means much!”

His ego is quite large today. Someone mentioned gold dust in a cheer and he’s back to the whole, “I have no idea what you’re talking about,” phase again. Woo boy.

I like how he gets destroyed so he quits lobbies until he finds one with noobs that he can actually compete with.

He also said "people have been KINDA generous this week." So if you give him your hard earned money but he doesnt reach the tips goal that means you were "kinda" generous.

I'm not an FPS guy so I don't know any better but isn't the point of a team-deathmatch to stay close to your team-mates and work together?

Why is Dave running all over the map on the other side of the map all by himself?

You can Lone Wolf it in a game like COD but you have to be really good and know the maps like the back of your hand. There's no shame in sticking with your team to prevent getting flanked.

Phil's last big Machinima rant was an impressive revision of blame at the tail end of his "Ask the King Ep.74" video. He's pretty much gone into this before. I have an abridged version in that stream's thread OP:

"Machinima was a “jack-of-all-trades, master of none”. This caused them to “bleed money”, forcing them to have to “look for more investors”. Sounds familiar...

Phil did some research into Machinima's last CEO, discovering he only given his CEO position because of his wealth. “A complete fucking moron”, “a rich bitch”. “This guy single-handedly destroyed the company”. Never mind the above explanation of “jack-of-all-trades” and “bleeding money”.

Not only that: “Oh, and by the way, that guy was responsible for getting rid of my Machinima partnership. I never told you guys about that before, but now that Machinima doesn't exist anymore, I can tell you.”

“Because I had emailed my old contact... my old contact was head of the Partnership Program... and then the next day I got an Automated Log Service from Machinima saying, 'Don't you dare send emails internally to us ever again'... So I come to find out, this guy that took over Machinima, after he disbanded the Partner Program and everything himself... He was taking in the emails from the Partnership Program guys that no longer worked there anymore. He saw my email, and personally complained to the people at the Automated Logs, saying, 'Why aren't you people handling this', and they said, 'Oh, well we're doing our best, but this guy's complaining cuz his livelihood's gonna be lost, or whatever'. Apparently, the guy looked into it, and said, 'Alright, well then, just get rid of him, then'”.

I am curious to see if he sticks to this new reason for why he was canned.

He also said "people have been KINDA generous this week." So if you give him your hard earned money but he doesnt reach the tips goal that means you were "kinda" generous.

One week ago on the 27th, Phil used the phrase "high contributions" to describe his notably successful Resident Evil 2 streams. Maybe this is more of his unrealistic mindset that his highest highs are in reality his average.

How does he not understand that speaking ill directly to your supervisor is a horrible idea. What probably happened was an office space situation. He was under radar with his ridiculous money per view situation. Nobody realized but then he alerts CEO they have an asshole on payroll and he checks the accounting and they can his ass.

LOL

He's blaming the Super Bowl again, but now saying that a lot of kids are playing the game because their parents are watching the game, so the connections are bad...

Like... what? That makes NO sense whatsoever.

Hold on, I'm going to clip that shit. I must have heard wrong or something.

-edit-
Okay, so he's saying that kids don't watch the Super Bowl and they're all playing CoD Black Ops multiplayer right now, bogging down the servers/connections.

It's fucking weird because I was just reading your post while firing up the Phil restream and instantly he was blaming everyone being at home watching the superbowl for why the connections on CoD are so bad...? Because kids will be playing it while adults are watching the superbowl? I'm not sure if you can even call it mental gymnastics when even Phil can't land that conclusion he's leaping for.
