Or any literal rating system. It's just human fan mentality; there will always be pointless 10s and 1s everywhere. While I think a 10 should be dished out for only the absolute best, many people will just outright give them because "I like it" and disregard any sliding variable in-between.

These days most 10s and 1s seem to be organized campaigns of people screaming "REEEEE SJWs" or "REEEEE Nazis!"

Okay, so this one's gonna need a bit of explaining. The worst episode of Teletubbies in my opinion is "Colours - Yellow". From a content standpoint that is. There's only one new segment in this entire episode, which is basically the same formula as the rest of the "Colours" episodes. The majority of the episode just contains the Tummy Tales segment that drags on longer than usual (and remember, these segments play twice in a row). And what do they pad out the rest of the episode with? The Magical Event, "Little Bo Peep", which by the way, is the longest Magical Event in the entire show. And it has little to nothing to do with the color yellow. This is the very definition of padding. They could have easily gotten rid of the Magical Event, and all would be fine. Instead, they decide to give up half way through the episode.

An entire page of tropers telling people what they can't mock, which also includes this piece of hot garbage
Generally speaking, you might be able to get away with claiming that The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Timeis overrated, outdated by modern standards, surpassed by its own successors, or simply not your cup of tea. If, however, you attempt to dismiss it as being bad you'll immediately be ridiculed as an ignorant Philistine at best, or flamed to within an inch of your metaphorical life at worst. Egoraptor lampshaded this in his Sequelitis episode.
Egoraptor: I am harshly criticizing Ocarina of Time on the internet! I'm gonna get crucified!
Because thinking Twilight Princess is better than Ocarina of Time or Breath of the Wild is totally unheard of, and Arin Hansen totally didn't just hate on the 3D Zelda games because he sucks ass at them while wearing thick rose-tinted goggles over A Link to the Past.

Really not that much of a bad review, they outline reasonably well why they dislike it, even if arguing about the spirit of a game and franchise is pants on head retarded (REmake was also much more serious than the original). Worth the read just for them saying RE6 is a better successor, though, I had a good laugh.

There is a point with the 2nd run being weak in story since one wouldn't really encounter the other protagonist until the very end. The "spirit" thing could be seen as stupid if the B-movie thing pretty much was to dialogue which to be honest, was always bad in old RE games due to how lines were written and delivered. Even though it focused on enemies, Capcom would have to make a bigger emphasis on survival in survival horror since they were aiming to make it more than just a game with pretty graphics. The "realism" complaint is a bit vague since it all just spergs a bit over enemies and not having enough ordinance.

From the Ben 10 YMMV page.

Relationship Writing Fumble: Ben and Gwen, which is an almost reverse case of the usual trope. The writers PROBABLY viewed them as just bickering, if still loving, cousins (and nothing else) and tried to write them as such. To most of the rest of us...

This just in, tropers don't understand a thing about how relationships work. I guess this is just a by-product of autism. Also...

This actually created a Periphery Demographic all by itself. Older viewers initially hated the show, partially because of the flat, immature, two-dimensional characters. The instant they decided Ben and Gwen had crushes on each other, the characters gained two or three levels of depth, skyrocketing it to the top of a lot of teen's lists.

How disturbed do you have to be to watch a show just for incestuous undertones between fucking 10 year olds?

Pretty fucked in the head, going by those twins from Black Lagoon

Honestly, the YMMV pages range from not too bad to goldmine of autism. Here’s some dumbass rant from the one for Portal 2.

Wheatley is hypocritical, selfish and manipulative. He never gives Chell credit for her successes; it's almost always "Look at what we've done" - even GLaDOS comments that Chell is doing well at tests, if in a terribly snarky way. He doesn't show a whole lot of interest in Chell's welfare beyond getting out of the facility. At the end Wheatley does exactly what every villain does - beg his defeater to save him, relying on their heroic nature even though he doesn't actually deserve it and it puts them both at risk. Chell would have been killed trying to save Wheatley if GLaDOS hadn't intervened. He even says he can fix it, but he knows he can't. He's the kind of guy who gets a promotion because he's a privileged white male in his thirties (because his boss is even worse) even though he has no idea how to do the job. And he doesn't actually realise any of this; he thinks it's all happening because he just deserves it.

Y’know, the best part is the part where this twat brings up white privilege for no fucking reason. Imagine getting this salty over a dumbass robot.

Of course they don't know how relationships work. They learned everything about romance from anime and think lusting after your sibling is totally normal. They still have no issue with having a trope dedicated to incest shipping.

More than anything I love that "For the rest of us" part because the trooper is autistic enough to think this is universal rather than the byproduct of his own stupidity regarding relationships, both familial and romantic.

I watched Ben 10 when it was on (I was the target audience at the time) and I never thought it was romantic. They just seemed like bickering cousins to me.

I didn't see anything that objectionable on the YMMV page tbh, the Trump material is very much love it or hate it and has gotten the show more attention that it had had for a long time
edit: I just ctrl+f'd "Trump", so I might've missed something more exceptional
