what is it behind wanting both your kids on the same medication?
I mean even if they had the same diagnosis, the same meds don't always work for two people, that's just the way it is, why does she insists on having Bodhi on the same drugs as Jani?
She's been obsessed with the drug trinity of clozapine, lithium and thorazine since Jani first got it aged 7.

Who here thinks... Susan actually thinks dr Phil is gonna agree with her. In her mind I really think she is got this all planned out. Gonna tell him he was over medicated because the doctor wouldn’t give him lithium my poor baby was dying in front of me cause I had to keep pushing Thorazine down his throat when all was needed was lithium. To mix with his precious Clotszil... and in her mind just like that he will agree. Bodhi s meds fixed. But while I’m on stage let’s talk about mental health and while we’re at it please read my la physc script.

I can’t belive I just typed this but I truly think in her mind this is how she sees Monday going. Sick twisted pos! Sorry I’m just at a loss here! Her fb post comments are truly sickening. The walls are crumbling Susie Q you just wait! Corey you were warned and well you didn’t listen now you can rot in hell with her!

Not that I can speak for all mental health professionals and all psychotics at once, but I've never once seen anyone with real psychosis i.e psychotic depression, bipolar w/ psychotic features, schizophrenia/schizoaffective interact with friendly dogs and cats the way Jani does.
It's always sinister rats and bugs and such. If a large proportion of psychotics saw cute and cuddly animal friends, the world of mental illness would be a better place. But unfortunately, we don't.
I think Jani's schizophrenia diagnosis is not only a very solid diagnosis for how she apparently acted at that age, but at this point I think it's set in stone.
Months of unadulterated access to her behavior and professionals figuring out how she operates, in UCLA, without Susan to coach her 24/7, plus DeAntonio and not some idiot doctor shopped quack doing the diagnosing, Phil really won't question it even this time round.

I think the episode will definitely center on Bodhi and general overmedication as anyone can see that kid isn't schizophrenic at all and doesn't need fucking clozapine.

Jani's diagnosis, we can debate, but as far as the medical professionals are concerned, is here to stay. Although her medication should definitely be toned down. I know adult institutionalized schizos who aren't on half what she's on.

You acknowledge that Jani’s 400 cat and other imaginative stories are nothing remotely like actual hallucinations experienced by mentally ill people (which I agree with) but then say you think schizophrenia is a totally solid diagnosis for her?

Very few professionals support the idea of COS. It had a fadish moment a decade ago among some psychiatrists but that’s over. It’s not in the DSM for very good reasons. I think Susan would be unable to get anyone to go along with the Dx today and I think plenty of doctors would outright reject the Dx. The only problem is Susan pushing it so hard for so long and would never remain with any doctor who questioned it.

If Jani was put under the care of a normal person tomorrow that diagnosis would be gone within months and so would all the meds. Jani’s schizophrenia has always been a product of Susan’s mania and parenting. She lied, abused, medicated, coached and lobbied for that label HARD. No doctor would have given that Dx to Jani without Susan’s fabrications and relentless campaign for it. If Susan wasn’t a manic munchie Jani would have might have been labeled ADD with some behavioral issues due to inconsistent and chaotic parenting. If she had decent parents probably no Dx for any mental health issues would have ever happened.

(Remember they were giving a two month old Jani Benadryl! Every sane parent understands there will be no restful nights for at least the first six months of a baby’s life. You are up every 2-3 hours, that’s the job description of being parents of a newborn. The idea of drugging a two month old with Benadryl because she’s “not sleeping” is fucking insane and shows Susan sat the path for Jani from very early on and had zero clue at what was normal for a baby or child.)

Susan attempted the exact same Dx campaign with Bodhi but he was far less susceptible to her emotional manipulations to trigger the desired behaviors. It made her MBP obvious to all. Jani was just her first victim that she managed to trick some naive doctors with. Dr Phil and others went along with it for TV content. Without the COS Dx there was no show, so ofc they didn’t question it. The whole point was to exploit the idea of the world’s “youngest schizophrenic” for some ratings - not because they cared or agreed with the ridiculous Dx. They only cared about producing 40 min of TV that would attract eyeballs.

I really don't want a fucking Dr Phil appearance during a CPS investigation, but what can you do. Here's hoping that some good will be done, but I'm not too optimistic. Michael, your narcissistic need for fame is gross. You should have just got a fucking lawyer.

Thank you for sharing your story, Kelli. That takes balls of steel.

Jesus christ.

Alright, guess the OP needs a new update (:_( Especially prior to the hordes of normies that will google Susan, Cory, Jani and Bodhi once the Phil episode airs.

I'll try and update the OP tomorrow with the current status of Bodhi in respect to his medications and condition, the doctors involved, and also look at adding a "Who's who" of verified leaks that have corroborated this massive story.

It would really help me if someone like @multiverse or another regular could condense the recent happenings with Bodhi's meds and the circumstances around them in a PM to me. Either a synopsis or just links to pertinent posts in the thread for me to reference. I've caught some of them, but surely I'm missing some. I cannot keep up with the nuances of this thread as well as some others have.

@ibewwife1990,

You are not alone in this thread when it comes to leaks VERY close to the situation. There are some here that are much closer than they wish to acknowledge publicly and out of respect for the well being of the kids, the staff have respected their wishes and I do as well.

Thank you for joining us and as always, to those near to the situation, my PM box is open for contributions to the OP or added perspective. I will always treat you with respect and dignity unless shown otherwise.

I dont think any dr wanted to dx Jani to begin with, i think she may have pushed the envelope with a benedryl psycosis, even when Jani got the dx as inpatient. Children that young still get parental visits, if ole screech was visiting everyday like any parent would, she couldve easily slipped her a couple of benedryl to induce the psycosis, or any drug for that matter. I think she even helped make up some of Janis “friends” and her made up world, that was all screech right there. Jani had nothing but some stemming and had never been properly disciplined, plus we have to take into account the possible SBS at 2 months old and any other beating she got for being an infant, if not for that she would probably just be another hyperactive child, Bodhi is another story, weve watched his rapid decline since they went public right after he was born, we know why he just grunts and makes noises. If not for screech and her mbp, these kids actually had a chance at a normalish upbringing with a manic parents. The whole thing makes me sick, their apartment makes me want to shower twice a day, her voice gives me a headache, chester triggers my infantile ptsd episodes, and all the while it breaks my heart that no one has done anything about removing these kids from that environment. I pulling for Dr Phil to get the head of DCFS involved right off, one can dream...

My psychiatrist has over 30 years experience in practice, and I ask her these kinds of questions all the time. According to current thinking COS is not an appropriate diagnosis, but has been replaced by pervasive developmental disorder. I don't know how long it takes for practitioners to switch from using DSM-IV-TR (2000) terminology/diagnosis to DSM-5 (2013), but I think it's important to remember that the DSM is an evolving document that reflects current research rather than the be all and end all.

Incidentally, my psychiatrist has only seen one case of MBP in her career, and that was when she was interning. The child in question was wheelchair- bound, but had no obvious reason why a wheelchair was required. The child would come into the hospital on a Monday and stay the entire week, by the end of which they could walk just fine and went home for the weekend. Then, without fail, they would come back to the hospital in a wheelchair unable to walk.

Apparently the mother spent the weekend telling the child that they couldn't walk and needed the wheelchair. Her reinforcement was so strong that the child actually believed that they were unable to walk, but when the child was in the hospital that reinforcement diminished and they could walk just fine after a few days away from the mother. It was totally psychological, with no physical harm to the child at all.

This is why MBP can be hard to detect and identify - it can sometimes literally be only in the mind of the child.

I really, really hope that Jani and Bodhi can be in a much more healthy situation as soon as possible.

Like the impulsive idiot I am, I purchased four out of the five Discovery Born Schizophrenic documentaries on Amazon. I wish there was a way to convert the files over to easy links for the thread here but I don't know if I can. Amazon's a bitch.

Literally by the start of the first documentary (Jani was six at the time) the UCLA doc was saying how toxic these drugs are and how overmedicated Jani looks. This didn't start when Susan took over. This goes WAY back. You can physically see Jani's hands trembling from too much Lithium.

Susan: "When she talks about hiding from her medications, that means she needs it!"

My own psychiatrist is kind of kooky and I don't know him that well yet, so I haven't asked for his opinion on this kind of thing and don't really feel comfortable doing so. However, I work in a residential treatment center for kids and have a friendly working relationship with the medical director, who also works as one of our prescribing and treating psychiatrists for the clients who run the gamut from as young as Jani was at diagnosis to a little older than she is now. I am so, so tempted to use my relative familiarity with her and shoot her an email with a synopsis of this case and links to comprehensive information, asking for her educated input as a medical professional who works treating youth who are actually in the throes of psychosis, as well as kids who have been extensively abused.

I have all of the ones that are available on Amazon and a downloaded copy of the 20/20 'Haywire' episode on a thumb drive and have watched them a few times, coming to the same dumbfounded conclusions I've expressed here. One thing I'll correct you on; the female psychiatrist stating that the drugs are toxic and commenting "I'm concerned that she looks so drugged" is not the UCLA pdoc, it's Dr. Woodall (in both books, Dr. Howe), Jani's (and Bodhi's) original psychiatrist who eventually terminated treatment with the family due to Susan's behavior over her desire for Bodhi's medication. That's the same doctor to whom Susan initially expressed fears of schizophrenia in Jani to and Woodall allegedly, adamantly stated "No. We are NOT going there." Her opinion on the current goings-on is another one I'd really be interested in, possibly moreso than that of DeAntonio.

"When she talks about hiding from her medications, that means she needs it!"
When a kid who is being medicated talks about hiding from/resisting/not wanting to take their meds, you don't chase them down with a camera crew in tow and sing songily coerce pills down their throat. There's obviously a reason they don't want the meds, and it's not "because they need them", kids aren't that advanced. The pills probably make her feel like crap and she knows that. You give an incentive, "When you take your meds, you can have a pack of fruit snacks" and if that doesn't work, set limits. "If you're not ready to take your meds in 15 minutes, the TV goes off until tomorrow." But, of course, it's Susan, who doesn't know shit about kids, Jani never needed the pills, and stuffing them down her throat ensured Susan got to keep her identity as Super Awesome Warrior Special Needs Mama.

This is already a long post, but holy hell. I slept part of the day after third shift and logged on this evening and goddamn people. KiwiFarms revelations left and right. Dr. Phil could be awesome and helpful, or it could be useless bullshit. I agree that Michael's time calling media outlets for help would have been better spent contacting an attorney and making plans to legally assume custody of both kids, but that's not what he did and he chose to seek help from a media personality. He may not have done what some of us consider the ideal thing, but he did do something, and boy howdy did it ruffle Susan's undies.

Kelli, your strength in coming here and telling dozens of strangers on the internet what you did about what you endured and the man who fathered you (he doesn't deserve the title of 'dad') is immeasurable, and Jani and Bodhi are incredibly lucky to have such a brave, selfless stepsister to do such a thing. It takes a lot to stand up for others, especially when you know that there may be backlash on you, but you did it anyway. That is seriously commendable. I wish you luck and health with your pregnancy, and I am sorry that your kids don't have the kind of grandpa every child deserves.

One last thing...Cory posted that each of Susan's books nets them $3.75. I stupidly purchased a Kindle copy from Amazon and it's way past the return date so I can't get my money back. I'd rather wipe my ass with three dollar bills and flush the quarters down the toilet than think of Susan getting jack shit.

I'll put it this way: if Susan didn't think she had something to gain from this circus then she wouldn't attend it. She has a complete legal right to deny going to the Dr. Phil taping; it isn't a court of law that she and the kids can be summoned to just because Michael wills it. She has without a doubt either A) convinced herself that Dr. Phil is going to 100% back her up on her decisions to over-medicate her children to death, or B) is working up some narrative of her own that she plans to present to Dr. Phil and the audience where its everyone's fault but her own in order to stir up sympathy from both. I have a feeling its going to be the latter, mostly due to the fact that she so was so quick to share that Jani was in taping. I have no doubt she's put Jani through a lengthy coaching session of what mommy wants her to say to the interviewers as part of a narrative where Jani and Bodhi Need The Drugs and Mommy Is A Hero.

That said, Christ I was scared when I saw this thread featured. It says a lot about this whole shitshow that the first thing I thought when I saw it featured was "Oh fuck, this is it, one of the fucking kids died, didn't they".

If this thing goes actually goes through, could some hero-kiwi save me a full recording? I'm currently without television and I'd hate to miss something this crucial. Watching Dr. Phil is pretty trashy but I'd give my left leg to see Susan get utterly trashed on national television.

Episodes are posted on Youtube. They get removed fairly quickly, but something like this will get reposted. You can also find uploads on Daily Motion.

I second the request though, cause watching a version where you have to slow down the chipmunk voices or zoom in to not see half a screen of swirling shit to bypass the autocensors is kinda annoying.

If it's up on YouTube longer than like a day so that with my fucked up schedule I have the opportunity, I'll do what I did with the 20/20 episode and rip the whole thing to a video file on my computer/flash drive and host it somewhere for download for people here.

@Amy Santiago Donno what timezone you're in, but I'm in Europe and don't have issues watching them, even a couple days after they've aired. Really popular episodes seem to be taken down more quickly, but in turn they are also reuploaded more.

My heart is sore for Kelli and Stacey. I hope you two have managed to salvage some sort of a relationship; from what you write, Stacey genuinely cared for you and truly she is a victim of your father's abuse too.

Be strong for yourself and your children. I hope in your life there is someone to be strong for you, too.

I am in the US Eastern time zone, for what its worth, and I realize that this isn't like one of Susan's cell phone videos that she can get nervy about and DFE before people have a chance to witness it. However, it took me forever to find the 'Haywire' ep and I own copies of all the 'Born Schizophrenic' episodes, so adding this inevitable trainwreck to my digital collection just makes sense.
