At this point would it matter, though? Her comic seems to be a minor "success" but almost nobody has benefited from being associated with her. Like even the Last Night problems are more related to money as opposed to her influence directly, I would think another women giving her a solid smackdown would likely have no effect. Especially if they have no prior record to pandering to any perceived "alt-right" entities.

Technically did kind of happen, the ex-girlfriend of the guy who actually did most of Depression Quest took her to task when post-Zoepost because apparently the planning sessions involved inputs of a different kind.

It doesn't seem to work. It would take someone with a higher profile and hard evidence to make even a dent, because whenever Zoe (or someone like her) gets called out, they just block, and then claim that person is just one of their 'haters' - and the narrative continues, untroubled.

At most, we see things like Zoe getting called out by troons for whatever reason and briefly coming out as non-binary, before shuffling that under the rug and never mentioning it again when it all blew over. Jake Alley's Zoe Posts barely made a dent, even though it was a True and Honest Transwoman revealing how badly she behaved, but except for maybe a dozen troons eager to hate on a cis woman, no one cared, and it backfired as an exposé.

To most people, who if they've heard of GG at all just know it as a harassment campaign against women, Zoe will always just be the victim of that. And her influence, as shown with the recent Escapist dumbassery, may only extend to being able to get white knights to defend her the moment something doesn't go the way she wants, but it keeps her in scambucks and unwarranted job opportunities and that seems to be enough.

We can take the odd burn against her where we can, but it's highly unlikely Zoe's terrible behaviour will ever get publicly called out. There's nearly no upside and a steep downside to trying, much like anyone trying to reveal the whole truth about Brianna Wu.

Fortunately for us, we can still point and laugh at the assholes even if karmic justice doesn't feel served. At the end of the day, Zoe Quinn has to be Zoe Quinn, and that's got to suck, pun intended.

Exactly. Every time she's tried to punch up (e.g. Notch) or go mainstream (e.g. movie rights, U.N. visit), she has been shot the fuck down. She's good at picking up opportunities and scams within the cuck world, but she will never matter elsewhere.

tbh she was never going to break out of that pond, and I always laughed at the people who assumed she was on the break-out of this big surge in credibility or power or whatever. She preyed on dorks in a tiny sub section of a medium, and she could barely even safety establish herself in that. Even if you want to make the case vidya press tried to help prop her up, the fact that she had been at it for years at that point and was still a footnote with no real path into anything greater should have been a clear indication that she was about as far as she was going to go.

I've seen a few tranny programmers/devs take potshots at her on twitter, but she's refused to engage, the couple times I saw it.

It seems to be having diminishing returns for all of them. Zoe is going from scam to scam burning bridges in ever more obscure and niche industries. Saint Anita's victim bux have dropped to alarmingly low levels and corporations have stopped giving. I'll give you Wu remains a clinically insane delusional nutcase. But Wu is pretty much exclusively funded by Frank. I don't think anybody actually pays Wu for anything. Even the Congressional Campaign's donations were mainly "a loan from Frank" and naught much else but a very small circle of likely homeless crazy people sending in loose change. All the next wave Victim's such as that Arenanet Nutcase got pretty much backed the fuck up by everybody. She remains unemployable.

Pitts and the current Escapist staff are "one of them" so they get protection. There 2 are layers or groups to this whole thing. The Twitter trannies/crazies/allys/whatever and the journalist clique. During the height of the autism wars, the articles, the journalists etc, it was about circling the wagons and protecting their own. They only cared about Zoe and CON to the point that they were a layer of protection.

I think people were fooled by her going to the UN without realizing that any dumbass could get a chance to speak if you are willing to pay a couple thousand bucks. Then there were people who thought her shitty book getting optioned was a big deal without understanding that lots of shit gets optioned without going anywhere. There’s also the congresspersyn who supported her but that doesn’t mean shit.

I guess I’m saying if you’re naive about this shit, it did seem like she was on the cusp of blowing up. Turns out the only thing blowing up was her waistline.
