I have been working my way through this forum and since that could take months, I wanted to point somethings out.

With the exception of Susan Schofield, almost every person who speaks about mental illness as a professional or a parent telling their story preface their horror stories of violence they've faced at the hands of the mentally ill with, 'Most aren't violent. But some are' or some variation. All Susan ever does is talk about how violent her kids would be without medication. That just strikes me the wrong way. She is perpetuating the stereotype and there is no rhyme or reason as to why that is.

Another point is with drugging her kids to shit. There are some people with severe MI that medication doesn't work for them unless they are drugged. I am talking about people who have either been found NGRI or people who have plead NGRI, been found guilty, but are still profoundly mentally ill. But the Drs don't just leave them like that. The drs teach them to control their behavior. They learn their triggers, they learn when they are losing control. Basically, they learn too live and when to get extra help when needed. It is a survival skill. But you never ever hear about this important skill being taught to these supposedly 'profoundly mentally ill' children.

Susan seems to have no tact. When someone with Schizophrenia or Autism are having a meltdown, you are suposed to be calm. You don't yell, you don't scream. With an Autist, you are overloading their already overloaded senses. With a Schizo you are telling them that yes, there is something scary in the room. You are right to be scared. And you can see how either one of these things would lead to escalating the situation.

Also funny how police or Crisis teams are never mentioned. Police know how to deescalate a person with Autism or with Schizophrenia. The training is becoming more and more commonplace. But we never hear about them asking anyone else for help. Except for dragging them to a Dr of course. Because, you know, why do you need someone else to witness the behavior and attest the fact it exists.

In Michael's book Susan absolutely insists on Schizophrenia as Jani's diagnosis. Her behavior fits more as an aspie. Her outbursts are just that, an Aspie being emotional. Little kids are not reasonable, it is a part of being a little kid. When I was little I thought a prison in town was the white house (in my defense, it does look a lot like Capitol Hill). Kids are irrational and the didn't give Jani a chance at being irrational before they slapped a label on it. No instead the conversation goes to 'maybe she has a horrible awful illness that will doom her to become a murder if I don't make myself a martyr'.

There are probably other things that bother me I can't think of. What do you think. Have these things been discussed?

From doing a quick search on the username of the YouTuber who uploaded it, it appears to be courtesy of Screechy's elusive brother.

There are some moments that are absolutely nauseating (i.e. the vows, the two monsters dancing around to "Hotel California", and especially a sickening speech at the reception about how kind and loving Susan is -- is the lady spouting that nonsense the friend who introduced them?) and Bodhi is obviously on some heavy cocktail of Thorazine and heaven only knows what else. I did smile, however, at Jani singing karaoke; she's no singer, but she at least seems to be having fun and not under duress like in most of Susan's videos.

Yes, all your points have been discussed many, many times. Probably all those points in detail every 50 pages or so. There’s a reason this is a nearly 500 page thread

Jani and Bodhi were never properly disciplined either, or taught boundries of what appropriate behavior is. They admit they never scolded her or punished her for the behaviors, just shaking her at 2 months old, and then beating the shit out of her in an “impotent rage” as said by michael. She probably had some autism but she was also drugged with benedryl by 2 months old, and then God knows what else by screech to enhance the behaviors. Bodhi wasnt even 2 weeks old when they had to admit Jani to the psych ward, claiming she was out of control, they never worked with her to try to correct the issues, just shoved medication into her in astrnomical levels. It goes back to what i was saying with therapies, they dont exist in that household, she wont allow it. Therapy=improved children, which in turn=loss of income and babysitters.

She seriously touches her asshole over a dozen times during the ceremony, like she has pinworms or something. I wouldnt doubt that shes always had rashes and irritation from her mother not teaching her how to wipe properly.

Notice how big Bodhi’s stomach is in this one, it sticks so far out and wearing a fitted shirt did not help one bit, Jani’s stomach was also rather large too. This shouldve been the first sign to any doctor that the kids were being over medicated, it just floors me it went on this long without even a family member stepping in.

We talk a lot about the damage the meds have done but the way Susan has raised the kids is probably more damaging. There’s plenty of epically fucking up teenagers and adults that had manic, BPD parents who never gave them any psych meds but they are still trainwrecks thanks to the emotional/psychological abuse they endured. (Obviously some kids survive it and thrive, but many are permanently damaged and dysfunctional from it. For instance Attachment disorders make it near impossible for people to bond and form relationships with others as adults.)

Actual, real therapy would do wonders for the kids.
Getting removed from Susan’s custody is the best possible thing that could happen to them, but it’s probably too late for that to make a big long term difference, particularly with Jani. You can’t erase and reprogram the first 16 years.

My only hope is that maybe with Jani and Bodhi the meds have fogged up their brains so bad the emotional and psychological abuse isn’t as deeply engrained because their short term memory is borked to hell.

The meds obviously make everything far worse as far as their functioning but maybe they created a little protective bubble around their brain preventing some of Susan’s manic emotional abuse from being too deeply etched on their psyche. Maybe it will one day off meds it will feel akin to a nightmare they awake from. Probably way too optimistic but it’s hard not to try and find some ray of hope in this shit sundae.

ETA:Was Susan’s brother at her wedding? I didn’t think he was but have never watched the wedding video all the way through and don’t intend to torture myself now.

The fact her brother appears sane and his wife a judge (and a former assistant DA who prosecuted child abuse cases) but they’ve never tried to intercede to help the kids rankles me. They seem to stay far away from Susan as if they know it’s a shitshow and don’t want to be tainted by association with her which is understandable but ignoring child abuse is not.

Nope, didn't save that one. @large_farva might have if Susan posted it as a Facebook video (they saved the Facebook videos.)

I saved videos that seemed to be pertinent to abuse or overmedication. The wedding video didn't seem to qualify. But archive it now if Jani is showing neglected behavior in it, for sure.
