He's super gay, and probably pretty liberal... but yeah. He's a genuinely nice guy. At least the dealings I've had with him. I could GAS about somebody's politics if it doesn't fuck up their job performance.

I know he thinks some of the female VAs are cunts. I can't recall which ones since I last talked to him in person a decade and a half ago, but he used to dish some pretty good dirt in private con settings. Mostly against the wahman. All you have to do is give him a drink and a cigarette.

He's also probably got better job security because he's gay. They're not gonna be able to #metoo him as effectively. Few people are gonna buy it.
He did play Kaworu Nagisa in NGE, the character that yaoi fantards go apeshit about. But yeah, he seems pretty chill. It is exceptional to dub this shitshow as 'animegate' but the resulting debacle will still carry the same effect.
I haven't found any mention of it on McGlynn's twitter or Steve Blum's (they're dating).

He has quite the TDS though...
Yeah, I knew Steve's political stances from the getgo. I have a 'live and let live' policy when it comes to that issue, like with Jon St. John.

Monica reminds me of Rose McGowan. Like I believe her 100 percent...but she is going to the extreme with the crusading. Unnecessary.

Aw I kinda like Chris Patton so I'm surprised he deleted. Tho when you publically tweet that you had sex last night and it was fun......some things you should probably think about before tweeting. Lol

If anything the closest incident to this one is ChangeTheChannel, insofar as this incident seems to center around a bunch of vindictive fucks trying to destroy someone with accusations largely (thus far entirely) lacking evidence. The choice of accusations are especially jarring, however, when you bear in mind how many of the accusers have either the same kind of accusations against them or worse (thinking of you, Neil Caplan). That doesn't really surprise me, though. A running theme with these situations seems to be the people leveraging the accusations having the most skeletons in their closets, hoping against hope that no one scrutinizes them further.

Frankly I'm just glad that there's minimal overlap with previous spergstorms. Christ.

I've met Greg several times at cons over the years, dude's always been chill as all hell and pretty up front with how he feels about other VAs and the industry shit in general. If you ever get a chance to listen to him while he's just fucking around a con in a more "private" setting, it's pretty much something everyone should do.

Jeremy's not that bad, but he does follow the anti-Sjw model too much.
I really can't blame him for being really anti-SJW though. He's cringy, but he started off as a moderate who liked to stay "neutral" and was primarily a very optimistic channel until TLJ came out. After that he started voicing his negative feelings about the movie and other things, and criticizing those who labeled anyone that didn't like the movies "russian bots" and "racists". This was followed by him getting a lot of undeserved hate on Twitter and even hate from celebrities and creators he admired, like John Boyega (who he really admired to childish degrees), and it all ended up with him being labeled a Nazi. So really, its not that hard to see why he's become more political and vocal about being upset at media.

Screeching SJW shitflingers certainly have a way of turning moderates into people who hate their guts.

Chris deleted his first account because he lashed out at a fan for not listening and believing during the Kavanaugh debacle.
I don't know how to make threads in this forum, so I'm suggesting Voice Actor Tard Outs. For when barely celebrities meltdown, but don't do it often enough to deserve their own individual threads.

A few weeks later he made another account because at 47 I guess he was that desperate for attention. Spergs wouldn't let him forget what he did, so he deleted that one shortly after.

I'm curious, what happened here? All I know about Bardock Obama is that he posts memes on social media.

He was known for basically sending his fans out to harass and mass report people every time he got into a Twitter argument (which was fairly often). He ran into some trouble when he did a live stream during a convention and made some creepy comments about one of the female convention guests behind her back. Afterwards, people started unloading all of their screencaps of the insults Bardock threw around constantly (he deletes all of his spicier tweets shortly after making them, so screencaps we're the only way to do this) and they tagged Funimation and Viz media.
Bardock was quietly let go and bitched a few days about harassment, then started tweeting about Digibro being a pedo to presumably take some of the heat off of himself. The sponsors he has left are the usual bottom-of-the-barrel faire (gfuel, lootcrate garbage etc). A year ago, I would have considered him thread-worthy, but he seems to be a lot more cautious these days.

She already shared her story on PULL in 2017 (confirmed there and on Twitter).

It does indeed read like a fanfiction, but the fact that she shared the story well before the controversy says a lot. This is probably the most serious allegation so far. Ironically, the damage has already been done, and all this does now is vindicate the people who have been ranting like lunatics on Twitter.

Interesting...the only platform I follow him on is Facebook and he does nothing but post memes on there (as far as I know anyway) so I had no idea any of this took place.

It is also interesting to me that he was let go for almost the same reason as Vic, but it seems to me that it didn't cause nearly as much of a shitstorm (probably because it's more cut-and-dry in comparison but even so).

Agreed. An accusation made at a distinct point in time has more credibility than an accusation made in a convenient dogpile. Hmm.

There's still a chance that it's a long con, but I'm willing to accept that, as she said, she probably has better things to do with her life than something like that.

It was a fairly small shitstorm, but it definitely laid out a pattern that well likely see happening for a while:
  1. Internet personality does something questionable
  2. Hordes of people dig up their dirt fairly quickly
  3. Small scandal becomes much larger scandle
  4. Person is fired/dropped/deplatformed
  5. Wash, rinse, repeat

I still don't like how her own mother agreed not to inform her father after reading about the journal entry on the suppose attack or even inform authorities on it.

This was way before he became semi-famous as a VA, which makes one wonder why her mother was so hesitant to tell the police, let alone her fucking father. You'd also think that a mother would be a bit more outraged at the assault of her daughter. Most parents of victims go on the warpath, but for some reason not hers?
