Sorry ventured in out of curiosity - glad to see Joop is okay and active still. But I think they should be fine. Can't speak for Twee, but Joop was already "made an example of" by PK just for showing up here and asking questions.
It is a little weird however for there to suddenly be "peace pipe" offerings going on - specially when PK has already made it clear that just knowing your on the farms could get you booted from the discord and all. Is it one rule for some and another for others over there? Or does PK know your here already? @Good Intentions

Joop mentioned twee seemed mad at them earlier because of those naughty questions, so I don't doubt someone's high up enough in the cabal to avoid a beheading this time.
I understand wanting to makeum peace and smokum peace pipe, but the average floraverse fan isn't the problem. They shouldn't feel like they gotta try to make peace with us trolls when they're not the ones who need to change. They shouldn't have to even worry about us going after them.
On that note, Joop shouldn't have to apologize to the other fans--much less to PK-- for wanting answers like a normal human being. I'm 99% sure they were polite about it, too, and went to PK like she says everyone could.

It's nice to see people drawing Kilewi, I like those sketches. Would've been there but I had errands to run.
While everything is dubious, at the end of the day, the gesture is still kind even if nothing does really change in the end. It's like Christmas truces during the World War's. We all share the same want to draw shit and have fun.

Like Joop wasn't booted from the server. They're still talking in the main chats. I'm not even sure what Joop meant by "seemed mad at me" bc I never even brought it up while i was talking to them through the event. Plus, like I said before, the idea of drawing OCs from this thread has been an idea we've had for a long long while. I talked openly about what I wanted to do with everyone to make sure they were aware and could voice any objections if they had any.
And yet, so many people in this thread seem to be very worried that we'll be going after them. Can you imagine the paranoia on both sides? to one side, the others are brainwashed lackies who do some asshole's evil will, and to another side, the others are these foaming-at-the-mouth psychopaths who rejoice after a murder. You can probably see why I'd really like people to realize that they're just seeing monsters. No one can communicate with the other if there's misgivings and a lack of common ground. Afterall, both sides want the other to listen, so why not help bridge that gap a little?
I realized that most would be really tentative to join, thats why I planned more than one event. I really dont care if anyone joins, all I can do is make an offering. Its up to everyone else to decide if its something they feel comfortable taking me up on and enjoying.

I'll try to organize it around a time thats available to as many people as possible. I would say "I'll work with your schedule" but that would mean I'd have to know your schedule and lets be honest, thats not happening.

You put that very well, Good Intentions. Both sides are fairly paranoid and skeptical of the other, especially right now. I appreciate trying to get folks to see we're all just people who like creating. I'll be sure join the next one, even if my art skills are lacking. Suppose I should whip up an OC before then.

My bad then. We only know what gets leaked here, but we knew Joop got called in for a talk and put on probation - I just assumed that meant they had limited access to the discord as a result. But I'm glad it wasn't a total ousting in that regard. Just naturally you can understand that we see stuff like that going on but not getting the full story.
It's not so much that I distrust you Intentions - but it's all a bit puzzling when there's been stuff going on where it seems like PK and Co are trying to do something or other (it's very confusing!). But to be fair, with art the worst they can do is give as good as the other thread gives - and give redline critiques or laugh at the art efforts I suppose. So long as people are careful about what they say in the chat then it's all good. The posts just came across a tiny bit suspect and Opa being in the chat is a bit weird...but whatever - if it leads to a better understanding of the people here then maybe it's not a bad thing.
I certainly don't dislike Florafans - lots of people who frequent the PK thread and this were people who read Floraverse or have fair respect for PK's old works and are just dismayed at what the comic has become or certain behaviours.
I appreciate you waving the white flag and crossing enemy lines so to speak, that takes guts and maturity. Wasn't meaning to knock it, but at the same time people going to be a little wary when there's stuff going on. If everyone's having fun and that's all it is, then it's all good.
