I love how Atlus used to be beloved by Troons and now is hated. Appealing to these people is definitely not worth it.

Doesn't matter if its SomethingAwful, Facepunch, Steam or Kiwifarms. Troons were drawn to that IP like wasps to a rotting carcass. Every single avatar was Chie or whatever.

You don't have to even do anything wrong to become something that must be destroyed.

I'm going to be fucking mad on the internet if I even begin to say anything about this Hashino thing. I have a personal philosophy that you should be respectful towards anyone that dedicates their time to give you something you like. And I don't mean just creative works, I mean if you like burgers, you should have some consideration for this place that serves the burgers you like the best. You go there and you be nice with everyone that works there. They're giving you some joy in life, the least you could do is be decent and try not to behave like an overgrown petulant child for petty bullshit reasons you don't even understand all that well.

Fuck these people. I hope this leads to some kind of weeaboo exodus out of that shithole. Make it just for the troons, cucks and legally stupid motherfuckers and clear out the rest.

The Persona 4 thing has been talked to death and it basically boils down to misreading the events and wanting to jump on the LGBT bandwagon. Naoto only pretended to be male because she had an irrational fear of no one taking a female heir to a line of detectives seriously, Kanji had an irrational fear that people would think their local tough guy was "a massive faggot" if they knew he had a soft spot for cute things and helps his mom make art. Either of them "hiding" anything LGBT about themselves would undermine the game beating you over the head about how unhealthy it is to lie to yourself and escape into your delusions.

On a similar note, it's actually funny how the only stories that get interpreted this way are the ones that could be warped into an LGBT metaphor. It's less common to see someone arguing Chie is really a lesbian because her "shadow" takes the form of a dominatrix who gets joy from how her prettier friend feels dependent on her or whatever you can twist out of the more clear-cut deal with part of Yosuke not wanting to end the journey because it makes him feel important in his dull life.

Maybe I'm generalizing but Persona fans in general seem pretty bad at reading this stuff even when the games are blunt about it. It might be because they see them as dating sims first and not Atlus games.

Persona 4 especially which is ironic considering the message of the game. Might be the bright colors. lol

New thread about Jussie Smollett in light of more CNN reports that he orchestrated the attack and paid the two Nigerian brothers to stage a fake homophobic and racist MAGA attack on him.

People are hella angry at the suggestion that maybe all the people they banned for victim-blaming were right and it was the mods, not them, who jumped to conclusions.
