And I figured I'd run a little experiment. I logged out of YouTube to make sure I got the real "new viewer" experience, and searched for some of the terms he used to get his "day 1 views" from. "Jump Force Playthrough", "Metro Exodus Gameplay", etc. Nothing. No results from DSP, even after hundreds of YouTube results.

I'm sure that's just because YouTube's book smart and doesn't get how to give people the results they actually want, but it seemed like I had plenty of options - raw gameplay, commentated gameplay, Twitch stream uploads. But he knows what he's doing, thanks.

When did DSP disable comments and did his YouTube views dwindle as a result? His failing YouTube income could be tied into this simple decision (not exclusively but at least partially).

And it's obvious that the only troll videos he's thinking of are formal tihydps, which have decreased in number slightly, only because his gameplay is so damn boring.

On the other hand, edits of his prestreams, rants during "chill streams", and unrecorded segments are at an all-time high because he's saying more and more ridiculously dumb shit every day. He's lying to this person that's obviously just trying to get a reaction for no reason. He does that a lot.

While doing other stuff and having this on in the background, I heard him low key moaning about the stream being slow at least three times: once directly after receiving a donation (yes, really), a second time when he returned from break (basically doing a mid-stream trying to bait for some "interaction"), and the third time when he stopped playing.

He even literally said the following when doing his return-from-break segment, and I quote: "It's been a pretty slow stream, I hope you guys in the next two hours will pick up a little bit". (spoiler: they didn't)

I liked, however, his reaction when the game crashed. It was pretty genuine and funny and he didn't whine about it for an hour and call the developers lazy assholes.

damn 72 months is pretty generous. From all accounts DSP likes to delay paying up front as long as possible. He likes to pay the minimum. He would certainly take as much of the 72 months as he could. That means he would have until Feb 2025.

72 months is generous for a one time bill, but what about next years taxes, or the year after that? Phil likes to give these short term goals his fans have to meet for "everything to be ok" but if he makes it to April 15th he'll still need money on April 16th. There is no light at the end of this tunnel. Ad revenue isn't enough to make a living on, donations make up his paycheck, so as long as Phil's only job is streaming games the begging will never end.

We're guaranteed for a hour long pity pre stream Tuesday or Wednesday if he can't break $100 total for the day. The Twitter poll today was split even which will put his streams below 300 viewers. The poll is also irrelevant given that he'll just play the other game the following day... he loves giving his pay pigs the illusion of choice, freedom and interaction in his hive mind, but fails to realize it'll put off any new viewers.

And of course, it will be his viewers fault.

"I don't understand. I put the poll up and gave everyone the opportunity to select the content that they want to view. If I'm going to be playing for you, I really need to see some support *snort lean*."

With a sprinkle of blaming the mods.

"And whoever put the chat into emote only mode during Metro Exodus, you are jeopardizing my livelihood. On a new release day I can't have the chat going crazy and yelling constantly."

And a cherry on top blaming Paypal.

So he "worked" for 5.45 hours, and made $14. That's about $2.43 an hour, by my calculation, yet he still shits on people who tell him to get a job because "This pays more than any job I could ever possibly get! *snorf*".
