He said that he would consider doing a retrospective again, but why are we going to the well so soon? Simply because Phil actually over-prepared for the last one and can now make it a goal that requires him to have to do no additional preparation. We had no sub goal until he had something that he can sit down the day of, pull up a word doc and go.

. That list was taken from his forums where the $5+ Pay-me-tons folks submitted vids after their payment was vetted so that they could access that part of his forums to post said suggestions.....he did NOT watch. Correction, he had the Stream Chat choose two of for FREE.

Has Phil ever mentioned setting up a payment plan for his taxes before, or is it one of the many lines of conversation he just shuts down if it is brought up? I could see Phil genuinely being too dumb to look up payment plan options, or too lazy to set one up.
Last year, when folks in his chat brought up that he could ask for a payment plan for his back taxes, he flat out said such things do not exist and called them all idiots/banned them

Correction for you, He does not OWN Either property. He pays monthly mortgage payments on both ( plus Condo fees on both.....instead short selling the ConDough and buying a house in Washington State). Additionally, Panda was 18 when he had her in his 'gf intro vid' and eschews higher learning as a waste. It is as yet unsure as to what Khet's scholastic background is. Seeing as she is working a schedule where only a GED is required, one may surmise she has not attended University either. She is also post undergrad age at 27-9 I believe.
Phil has claimed that his accountant when he was getting his big time youtube money was a literal Dean and Head of Accounting from a college near him, so I'm sure Phil believes anything any rando gives him on a business card. Tax attorneys are IRS mediators, so if he's had issues with them screwing him before, he's been in tax trouble for years and years.
This old accountant ( now a Tax Attorney ) was claimed to be a friend of the family, so he most likely did D$P's father's taxes and took on D$P as a favor to him. D$P only started called the past ACCOUNTANT a Tax Attorney after learning this shiny new word when he was called out by the State of Washington and advised by both the State and I would imagine his old accountant to contract one to handle the issue. In the old accountant's defense, if you client has only one income source ( ie Machinima ) said accountant might assume that their client was an EMPLOYEE of said business and not even consider 'B&O Taxes' when said client moved to another State.

I realize the thread is over 4k pages, but a simple keyword search could have told you that this had already been disclosed. ( we have been posting D$P info for quite a long time now).
Listening to the pre-stream, I think Phil's starting to walk back the length of his "first marathon". (He says "first" quite a few times actually.) He had tweeted about the 16-hour marathon to help with taxes, but today he gave an example of a 12-hour marathon where he would stream from 10 in the morning to 10 at night. He added it would be longer than he's ever streamed before and that him streaming for twelve hours would be about ten hours of gameplay as he would need time for breaks.
Another thing he said that I think is a departure from previous: he talked about needing growth. Before when asked about growing his channel, Phil said something to the effect of 'I don't care about growing, I just want to keep what I have.' (Conventional business wisdom is you're either growing or you're dying.) Today he said "I need growth" and added that he can't grow when the games aren't good. He bemoaned the recent releases and previewed the upcoming months of games, guessing that there might be just one good release per month.
I can attest to the dialing back to 12hrs now...lol...like anyone thought he'd do a 16hr stream? LMAO even with his saying he'd take Hourly breaks and longer breaks every 2hers? It's going to end up total time as a regular stream after ALL the breaks he already has penciled in for his 'marathons'.
