The assumption is probably that there's a REASON folks are posting CP on a particular video. I'm sure creators could contest it to prove they're not the issue, but if I saw a bunch of pedos on a dudes channel sharing that shit, I'd assume the youtuber is ALSO a pedo

You're right, they should do that too, but they're a smart enough company to know that just letting people run around using language like that will reflect poorly on them in the court of public opinion, and that could impact business. I get it, people have their panties in a twist because they can't say whatever stupid thing they want and get away with it, but it's just smart business to nix that shit.

I've got to agree. There are very few places you can get away with saying whatever the fuck you want these days (this is one of them), but it has become bad business to allow it on other platforms. I don't believe in censorship in any form. If someone says something I don't agree with then I want an opportunity to tell them that or have a conversation about it. That being said I don't generally entertain idiots. Well, sometimes for funsies. I do think it's good business practice to keep the freaky shit to a minimum, though, so hopefully they start going after that as well as the racist stuff.

Youtube as you've said have their priorities fucked up. This is most likely due to those NSFW, creepy not for kids channels generating a lot of revenue for Youtube. Fucking terrible really.
And Youtube wants to be taken seriously as a legit company.
