Toei's always been shit when it comes to their property. Even outside of TFS, they've treated the Sailor Moon license like shit and depsite it being a Takara-produced thing, are holding that 1986 Transformers OVA hostage for reasons no one's sure of.

Sailor Moon was held hostage like it was due to a combination of Toei getting into a pissing match with Sailor Moon's creator (they were, IIRC, cheating her out of royalties) and were also wanting to turn Sailor Moon into a live action franchise, which ironically flopped hard.

The Scramble City OVA is a bit more complicated. It is considered an old shame because of the Galvatron debacle (they did two versions of Scramble City, one animated and the other stop motion with the actual toys and due to Hasbro not explicitly telling Takara that Galvatron was Megatron, Takara's stop motion version of Scramble City explicitly state Galvatron and Megatron are separate entities).

Refresh my memory. Was Todd anti-Vic in the beginning?

What @AnOminous said.

Do you think it has something to do with the little birdie who told him they could confirm FUNimation was watching?

Yes.

Also, there's some people in Texas I haven't been able to get a read on yet. For example: Greg Ayres and Colleen Clinkenbeard. I talked about Ayres a bit in the other thread.

I haven't heard anything about Greg Ayres but looking into it a little I'm pretty sure his brother, Christopher Ayres, is Pro Vic. Also in the same thread I found I'm pretty sure Alexis Tipton is Pro Vic.

That's very interesting, actually. Any sources on Alexis and/or the Ayres brothers?

For the most part. except for Jamie, Monica, and Chris Sabat, the Funi crew have been mostly neutral in the matter, outside of maybe retweets and twitter likes.

Or I might be wrong. I try to stay from social media because it gives me ulcers.

doing something like that actually would get him disbarred and cost him his career, plus probably time in jail/prison. it would be insanely stupid, especially for someone who is in the public eye like nick is.

also there is no criminal case against vic. not a single one of his accusers has filed a police report.

I'm aware, I was just saying that a lot of people commenting on this in certain spaces seem to have some weird misconceptions about what's actually happening.

This moron really doesn't get it. Ty Beard's ethical obligations are to his client and the court. he is paid to represent his client and that includes throwing rocks and bombs at the twits attacking him. and yes of course being a Lawyer is exactly the same as being a licensed loan officer. /headdesk!

Once more for the slow kids like Soy Toye here. Ty Beard is being paid to be a professional asshole to you. He has no ethical issues regarding being an asshole to you in public or in private. He is in fact being paid to be an asshole to you. It is part of the Representation service. he is speaking for Vic. See mister Soye, you are a "licensed Mortagage Loan Officer" that means you took a few classes on the ethical and fiduciary responsibilities and got your state certificate. Ty, Nick and other Lawyers are not like that. They are actual Professionals. Members of the Bar. They know fully well what their actual ethical responsibilities are and to whom they have them. If they are pissing on you it is because it is well within the rules. Here's an important life lesson, DON'T PISS OFF LAWYERS!

Pretty sure Sean has been more exceptional than Chris has, unless there's something I've missed.

I have nothing on Greg other than faulty memory. I know he doesn't like some of the women at Funi, which is why I'm keeping an ear open.
He's also semi-metoo proof because he's gay AF, and everybody knows that.

Wendy Powell is almost certainly in Vic's camp too. She's working with Vic and Todd on Prince Adventures.

Brina Palencia is a write-off in my mind because she made a tweet about Funi's "LGBT fans" being loved as soon as this broke. ANN included it in their hit piece.

She wasn't a very good Yuno Gasai anyways. The Japanese VA was fucking awesome in that role.

Was about to post a shit essay on why everyone should only watch pirated subbed anime but then I remembered fansubbing also have their own exceptional drama in the past and would probably repeat in the future once crunchyroll finds a way to fuck over HorribleSubs.

Maybe people should just start learning Jap or something idk

This is great.

Looks like I may have misspoke. Digging a little deeper into a different thread they both say their earlier statements had nothing to do with Vic but was about people who rush to support "victims" so they can say look at me I'm supportive but they have never supported people in the past. And that those people are only supporting people for attention. I saw other people talking about how he was Pro Vic so that's why I assumed they were talking about him.

Looking at their likes on twitter. Other than a few examples they have stayed quite. Alexis liked Monica's statement and that's all I found with a quick search. While Chris Ayres liked Vic's statement and someone saying that Monica is of the kindest, most decent, & genuine people I’m lucky enough to know. And that they stand with her and other victims.

He's being paid to burn this motherfucker to the ground.

My favorite day.

To be fair that whole dub was fucking awful.

Sean's exceptional about anybody, Vic's just another one of his "I HATE THIS GUY BECAUSE HE'S NOT ME!" targets at this point.

I do find it greatly amusing that a retarded manchild is played by a retarded manchild.

Oh man, I hate to quote the same post twice, but a thought just hit me. Soyboy here is a State Licensed Mortgage Loan Officer. Hmmm? I wonder what a Judgement and likely Lien would do to that License? Loan Officers generally have very strict requirements regarding personal financial matters. Nick's not the one that should be worried about his License. Everything he has done has been on the up and up. But ol' Ron here may be harboring a bit more risk than he realizes?

And once again, it is all but impossible for a typical layperson to challenge a Lawyer Regarding the Lawyers Ethics. Lawyer's are by definition "Professional and Legal Experts" regarding Ethics. Google Fu won't get you past that hurdle.

Refresh my memory. Was Todd anti-Vic in the beginning? All I remember of him was making his statement about Pridemore and dumping some DM logs before he went quiet again.

It's both telling and damning(?) that LA has been virtually silent, except for Amanda Winn Lee. Vic lives in LA, so other VAs would likely meet him physically, even in passing. And that doesn't count the directors and engineers. They haven't said anything to hurt or help Vic, which is strange. Possible they don't want to lie, but they also don't want to vet him from sexual assault allegations in California.
The only other LA VA who has not been silent was DC Douglas who only got silent recently after his bathroom recording story went out and was only fighting YellowFlash-tier idiots on Twitter

Mirai Nikki is one of my guilty pleasures.

What convinced me the sub was better was how Brina didn't do a very good job in tonal mood shift. Yuno is infamously cutesy obnoxious when she's "normal" (Yuki! Yuki! Yuki!), but when she goes psychotic, it's a glory to behold.

In fact, the English actress in the abridged parody is actually better than Brina.
