I am not blocked by Hanleia and just a cursory look is just subtle SJW shit and fucktons of gay Banana Fish art. I will take a better look tomorrow. There's absolutely Weeb Wars shade being thrown.

Hmm. If that's her (and that's a big "if" so far) and if Mignogna decides it's worth it to go after her, I wonder what the mechanics and practicalities of suing someone who's a resident of another country but (probably) still a citizen of the US would be.

hanleia has found this thread, shes been reading it probably near the beginning. As soon as I posted she had unblocked her Twitter account, she blocked it again. She may even be a poster here. She appears to have no job and her entire existence is buying weeb stuff while living in Japan, talking about weeb stuff everyday and what weeb stuff she bought in Japan, and travelling to see her family in Hawaii. She does nothing but post about her favorite anime boys and pairings to that community, and selling stuff that she doesn't want to the other girls in that comm. She's a true Fujoshi.

Unless she's intentionally trying to throw people off for years... I'm pretty sure @hanleia/@finnrey(friend-only account) is just a rando bisexual weeb from Honolulu that has a habit of stirring up controversy on the interwebz. It's comes up with basic google of the handle, publicly available info that she put up herself. Apparently she's obsessed with talk about homophobia, and seemingly conflicted about wanting to ship two characters in the Yuri-on-ice anime and not wanting to promote pedophilia as one of them is underage?

Well I know the photo isn't her, I pulled a photo from her Twitter a while ago, that matched up with her others, and was the first uncovered face pic I could find. But it's interesting she works at an elementary school, I guess she is the english teacher.

Alot of the girls hanleia regularly tweets with are other fujos that have been in the comm for a long time and have a long standing hatred of Vic, some of them were previously in his fanclub. So I wonder if this was a long term thing to try and slander his name back from the livejournal days and then continued to tumblr? Just speculation.

Nick has said time and again that he is not Vic's lawyer and that his videos on what they could do was mere speculation on his part. On his stream, however, he said something that sounded like he had insider information.

"I'm not permitted to talk too much about what's going on specifically in regards to the legal action, but let me just say, that I think today, the legal action got a lot more real and a lot more interesting for about four people. And I think on Monday, it's gonna get a lot more real and hit a lot closer to home for the rest of them."

Nick shouldn't know, specifically, what the legal action will be or when it will occur, so how can he be forbidden from talking about it?

It's not unusual for journalists to be told about upcoming legal stuff off the record, and Nick is closer to a journalist in respect of this case than anything else. What he's disclosed would have been with permission. He almost certainly knows more than he's able to disclose at this point, though.

I think a lot of Nick's comments are about keeping an audience interested more than anything else. The best way to do that is to dribble pieces of information frequently.

Ty did blink quite a bit in surprise when he spoke with Nick on the stream about how he'd "figured out" certain moves BHBH were planning to make. Considering Nick was only lawgaming the idea and it'd be what he'd do on the matter and that Nick isn't really into that particular realm of expertise (solo practitioner, Jack of All Trades) he seemed to actually surprise Primarch Tyberius on the matter, at least a little bit.

Nick actually referred Vic to BHBH. I don't recall that being explicitly stated before, but he did so in his recent stream. I'm a bit concerned that he's going to fly too close to the sun because it does seem like he knows more than says he does. Just because they are all lawyers doesn't mean they are immune from messing up.

He's never revealed anything that could even be remotely considered "privileged" info tho. He's also a lawyer and knows how to fuck with language and has stated multiple times what he says is speculation on his part, but now we're getting close to summons being sent out it's easier to say for certain what will happen because most litigations run to the same beats and moves. It's not like Suits or Perry Mason as has been stated multiple times before. There's a far more rigid script to play.

It's like magically putting "allegedly" into sentences pretty much bullet proofs you from any issues legally that might happen.
