Being a tad hyperbolic. There have been a few posts by people saying there has to be something to this etc, and they usually get a bunch of "dumb" ratings and don't post again. Especially early on, which does indicate some hug box mentality. Our rating system is very similar to reddits upvote downvote at least when it comes to posters behavior. But then again, nobody has bothered to post proof of anything in this thread either. No videos of Vic doing illegal shit, or really anything.

The internet is a cultural revolution on par with the invention of the printing press, and its following pretty much the same track. The Printing Press came around and suddenly people realized they could spread information far more cheaply and easily then they could before. So they did, and immediately the people doing it became a threat to the establishment. So what happened? The establishment started demanding that all Printing Presses be regulated, and only work through "official channels". Information made on approved printing presses was acceptable. But those nasty uncontrolled printing presses? They went after those, arrested (and usually killed) the people operating them and destroyed the equipment. But they never could get them all, because at the end of the day people like @Null are a constant in society. Willing to be contrarian to the point of fault. And thank god for that. I would not call this place a shining beacon of virtue. Far from it, but the Farms comes from a long tradition of shitposters going all the way back to those mad lads who printed true accounts Pope Leo X having multiple mistresses and dozens of bastard children.

I was scouring the net early on to see if they had any actual hard evidence, over 15 years. Nothing that would get him charged, or hell, even kicked out of a convention. Like if the claims were legitimate, you'd think there'd be something.

But no, they went after a person that's clean as a whistle. Even his legal record is clean.

I agree. This is gonna come off as self-masturbatory towards the site itself, but I think you're exactly right and you've kinda touched on the reason I actually like this site (even ignoring lolcows): KF isn't a hugbox.

Even if people here tend to lean a certain direction politically and many people might disagree with a specific stance, you can say whatever the hell you want (within legal bounds) without fear of censorship. I mean If someone came into this thread right now calling Vic guilty and advocating for him to be executed, we'd just rate the post accordingly. The user wouldn't get banned and have their post deleted for wrongthink.

That's why I think this thread is so huge, and another reason why I think it might even be of importance to Vic's case.

I've seen on some reddit threads where people were scoffing at the idea of "20-30" victims being wrong, and that it was an easier Occam's Razor to assume Vic was guilty than to think that there is some mass conspiracy of liars to kick Vic. The argument even somewhat convinced me.

Than I saw the borderline OCD archiving that goes on around here and thought, you know, maybe the conspiracy theory isn't so farfetched. Nick (and maybe Ty?) threw around the possibility of civil conspiracy, what with the tweets between the accusers and the fishing of ANN writers.

Speaking of Vic's record, he doesn't even have a police report as far as we know. That one chick was two states away during the time of the alleged harassment.

The difference between us and sites like PULL and ResetEra is we JUST downvote stupidity and willful ignorance. We're not deleting posts that are "wrong think.," and I don't think anybody has been banned by the mods. The few people who have come in here in opposition to Vic are still with us. They simply said their piece and went elsewhere on the site.

Also, I noticed Beauty Parlor might be more inclined to be suspicious of Vic, but I think that's because the people there have heard these chatty catty Vic rumors on the con circuit for years. They've been out there for a while, it's just that none of them have been credible to lead to anything.

I pulled that from the ANN Article. I admit dissatisfaction with it though. It was used by ANN to accuse vic of things, but this photo specifically is not among the ones being denounced by the people involved. If anyone has a better option I would be happy to change it tbqh.

It does look like Allison though I can't be sure due to the pixelation. Be interesting if she sent a photo to ANN for their article.

The pic just posted (possibly hanleia), if you do a google image search it brings up a lot of sites that reference it, the tiny image next to the listing isn't blurred - not that it helps much but if you have great eyesight and know who you are looking for, you might be able to tell.

That's just it. There is no mention of sex itself in any of these supposed rumors or complaints. No pantslessness. No exchanges of fluids of any sort. The worst is "he touched my hair", but the only actual photographic evidence of that seemingly shows it pretty clearly as a gag and part of the performance. And that seems to happen with a lot of the rumors once you start digging and actually look. "Vic is very touchy feely! Creepy!" becomes "He likes to hug the people that stand in long lines to meet him". And the people in the actual supposedly "creepy" pictures disavow the accusers and claim the contact, generally a hug or kiss on the cheek was neither unwanted nor abusive. Similarly the reports of how much of an "abusive Prima Donna" Vic supposedly is become stories of "Con's not providing promised services, facilities and support, etc to the performer guests. And the far travelling guest in question getting Irate over such broken promises with the Con staff tasked with dealing with him". Dear me what an evil man. Expecting the organization to provide what they agreed to and getting a bit pissy when they fail. And after this happen in 6 or 7 instances of digging you start to realize that it isn't "Where there is smoke there is fire" instead it is "Where there is smoke, there are 2 or 3 pink haired idiots sniffing their own farts while trying to cook a shoe".

Oh wow. Your Autism is far greater then mine. I completely missed this. This is a direct link between Lynzee and ANN to Allison Cooke. Before this I was thinking she was just some mean girl Stacey doing her thing, but she may actually be involved directly. Big if true, and this is definitely something that is discoverable. The worst accusation I've seen (sorry, I can't recall where), was that he tried to put his hand under a fan's top years ago. From memory, that was a second-hand claim and not something a "victim" is willing to swear to in court.
