You know, sometimes I wonder in these manifestos if they truly mean that. There's a section early on that's all about making people in the USA fight over firearm ownership and the 2nd amendment and flare up the two extreme opposing sides again, which leads to suppression and removal of firearms rights, which leads to civil war in the USA. Which, first off, dude, your shooting in another country is going to be the straw that broke the camel's back in the United States? Optimistic thinking.

But really like, wouldn't telling someone your diabolical machinations ruin the results? It seems counter intuitive to tell someone you're trying to manipulate them, that usually gets people defensive against, well, manipulation of that sort.

But then again who knows, maybe they don't expect enough people to read the manifesto, or they figure knowing isn't going to matter because it will happen anyways, or maybe they just don't care anymore.

I saw the video and unfortunately I just felt numb to it, only clicking away from other tabs to avoid watching certain parts of it. Can someone give me the rundown on why the shooter did this because I do not want to read through 23 pages where the site would occasionally crash due to the traffic it has been getting.

He's an accelerationist. He feels this will cause American liberals to try and attack gun rights, antagonizing the right and furthering the political divide.

It's a channer who studied enough about how the media reacts to mass shootings and decided to take advantage of it. Hell the Columbine shooters got the idea of a mass shooting from Natural Born Killers, a movie that was ironically satirizing how the media covers mass shootings and criminals.

Most mass shooters or terrorists tend to study how the ones before themselves did it in an attempt to outdo each other or in the case of terrorist attacks, pull off a huge one that gets media coverage for days.
