I've seen this behavior before. From stalkers. To 2 Gryphon, "no" doesn't mean "no". “No” means "I just need to try harder". It means "there are some minor differences which we can sort out". “No” means “if I keep asking they will eventually give in”.

I'll bet he spammed every person he knows at EF and begged them to be allowed to perform at the con. Just like that ex-boyfriend who floods your phone with text messages begging for one more chance.

These are the signs of someone who is either losing their grip on reality or has some sort of dementia. 2 Gryphon had his first alcoholic blackout over 10 years ago and just kept chugging vodka ever since. I think he's at the point of brain damage from excessive drinking. Drugs are bad.

Entirely possible, but also you don't really need much reason to drop 2. Not only is he a drama magnet all of his own accord his cache in the fandom has never been lower. It costs them nothing to refuse to let him perform when they'd almost certainly get nothing but backlash out of it.

Power, even the illusion of such, tends to make people think they're untouchable. This behavior is self-reinforcing since they see people with actual power who are in fact effectively untouchable get away with things, and they think it means they can get away with it too.
 
In case you guys didn't see, 2 the Ranting Gryphon completely fucked himself up by falling down the stairs. I don't know how much of this has been posted but the dude has a fucked up hip that's filled with necrotic tissue and can't take any pressure on it, so he's been sitting and lying down most of the time these days and the few times he walks it's with a cane. He effectively needs a hip replacement but I'm not convinced he makes enough money to afford something like that.

Either way, he tried to put weight on it while walking down the stairs and fell down, breaking three ribs and messing up his lungs as a result. There was some other stuff too that he talks about in the video. He looks like complete shit.

Yeah man, he's visibly aged from his spry, young "I'm gonna give up drinking! :D" to "I just fell down the stairs and jacked up my shoulder because I lost my balance on a cane" within 2 years. What the fuck.

I think his drinking may have been what held most of this back for so long.

That's unfortunate. I hate this guy, but that sounds truly hellish, hope he gets a chance to recover from this and maybe even stop trying to become a comedian or pundit when so unfunny.

That necrotic tissue in his hip that was mentioned earlier can be attributed to alcoholism as a pretty severe symptom/side effect. His chronic alcohol abuse is basically destroying his body.
