I'm not understanding your statement, "and the only way to stop terrorism is by teaching our women to respect themselves enough to demand equality" - I'm sorry but I've been studying islam for way over a decade, and anyone who thinks M/Eastern women can ever be saved from their horrific fate is perhaps not quite as informed in that regard as I am. It's also pretty hard to free them and/or "stop terrorism" when they deliberately set out to breed their own crop of martyrs. Perhaps it's 14 centuries of deliberate inbreeding & indoctrination that has sealed their fate, probably for the next however many centuries.

Western women, however, have an entirely different lot in life with many different options and paths available to them, no matter how dire their personal situations are. In my experience "demanding" usually gets one no-where except, perhaps, shut out. An enduring coal strike back in the days was finally brought to an end when ALL the wives cut off "benefits" to their husbands - women, it seems, were a whole lot smarter in those days, no need to run around like those Russian babes bearing their boobies & ending up in prison

Those of us who live here are every bit as Australian and western as you, and I rejoice every day to see our wives and daughters living free and happy lives in this beautiful country. I will agree with you that some of our coreligionists in the less developed world have violent, ignorant and repressive attitudes and misinterpret the book to justify their own evil actions, but those attitudes will not be changed with bullets and bombs. The answer is more immigration, better support, and more understanding. You're certainly entitled to your opinion and it does not offend me. It's nothing I haven't seen many times before in my cousins and friends from back home, who halfheartedly condemn Muslim atrocities and terrorist acts out of one side of their mouth, then immediately launch into justifications and excuses for them. I’m certain the left and Anderson Cooper on CNN will probably say this all comes down to nothing but “Islamophobia” (which, it technically is - I mean, I don't think anyone in that Mosque was planning on raping kids in Rotterdam or decapitating women). They'll just find a way to spin it into sympathy so they can open more borders, and make Europe more “multicultural”; “those POOR innocent Muslims are being oppressed by bigotry! And while there are a decent portion of exceptions, the majority of them have been doing the same shit to the people that let them into their countries for years now (doesn't mean we have to kill them). Hell, I’ve been waiting for a mass shooting in Sweden (well, aside from the ones done by Jihadists) for I don’t know how long now, because someone in that god forsaken shell-of-a-once-great-country is going to snap eventually. Thank you, you indeed sound like a beautiful & highly advanced soul, as are many muslims. It is not the people I hate, rather, it is the ideology that is. I don't make statements rashly, or without knowledge, and I relate my personal truth after more than a decade of studying same in great detail. How I would love to sit and converse with you for endless hours about our different perceptions & understanding of your holy book, the hadiths, overriding culture etc etc. No, I do not capitalise any word relating to ANY religion, because I don't believe ANY of them are worthy of my recognition. 3. You could argue his actions are consistent with his worldview
4. Most importantly - his actions are not personally motivated. His actions were entirely politically motivated. It appears to me at least that he one day came to the conclusion that "this cause is important enough for me to drop everything, as THIS needs to take precedence". The implications this has in our current socio-political climate should not be understated.

Really, it's just what we make it. He shot up a building full of people, and then decided to implicate his entire community in those murders; I'd say he is a loser, and judging by his manifesto, he might have accomplices that share his views, but this man is clearly lonely as fuck, and has loaded all those frustrations into a white identity, that when threatened, he decided to "protect" - qoutation marks not because the people he shot were the explicit invaders , but because he wanted to be the protector in OUR eyes, we being his community.
Secondly, yeah his views are coherent, but why haven't none of us shot up a mosque? Because we're not clinically dense, and because it's a place of worship filled with random people. Why does he do it? Because he supports the same cause as us, but not because of reasoning and logic so to speak, but because of emotions.
I don't think his behavior is that of some warrior/savior/protector-type mentality, there's definitely personal motivation behind, because he wanted to be percieved a certain way in his community. Honestly, what the fuck does this help? Did he not have the balls to try and find someone more radical, maybe like a gang of middle easterners? No, he goes for the real easy kills, does it on a random Friday so that it's filled with ordinary people, and children and women, instead of doing it literally any other time, where it might be mostly men, and spews so many memes, you could write a book; that's definitely pick-me-ass behavior.
