I'm in no way a fan of Islamism, but I find this both legitimately funny and insensitive - it's like if the governor of Pennsylvania wore a yarmulke after the massacre in November.

It's pretty depressing how quickly people jumped right to how Trump/Pewdiepie/Gamergate caused this and that because they're the real problem, the journos and random twitter users are the real victims. Brenton Tarrant did it and the people he shot were the victims of this attack, but it doesn't take a genius to realize that an inflammatory situation like this is going to cause wagons to start circling on both sides, because today's political climate has been fostering this kind of thing.

Not to mention not being at home having babies and being out in public without a male relative chaperoning her.

Western countries don't have to ban it, because banning things doesn't stop anyone. To stop honor killings, rape/grooming gangs, and the cudgel of Islamophobia in the west, the obvious solution is to not import hundreds of thousands of them, raising them on the taxpayer's dime, and then not holding them accountable for the barbaric actions they commit. And yet that makes you a Nazi.

Its been said before but I think the most chilling part is how incredibly mundane the whole thing was. No excessive gore in most places, he just killed people and then left. I mean, that's the most chilling part after you realize you just watched 49 murders in 16 minutes.
