Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

That thumb picture still gives me shivers.

Knowing the thumb picture was waiting in the wings makes that sociopathic cunt's fake makeup photos even more shiver worthy, to be honest.

Not only was she beating the shit out of him, not only was she fucking him out of millions, not only was she emotionally torturing him... she was willing to get a friend who knows makeup to help her fake victimhood just to ruin his life for daring to leave.

And it worked, too. Even now you have dangerhairs being dangerhairs on twitter explaining that she might have fucked him up, but he was the big mean scary man and thus anything she does is in self defense, even, well, that.

who would ever be proud of being the 68th most powerful person in ANY field of anything whatsoever?

Honestly, I would be proud of being the 68th most powerful person in comics. All I've done is post a few times in the CG thread and been a customer, so the fact that I'd have absolutely no business being considered would make randomly turning up in the list stupid but fun.

But Renfamous, whose only claim to fame is relentless sperging about comics on Twitter, doesn't think she has no business being on the list. She thinks it means something more than virtue-signaling from an SJW.

She thinks she matters. Which is why she's such a lolcow.

Speaking of DC Douglas, I just read that Haberkorn actually provided voice acting for one of his anti-Trump projects (or maybe I should have known before but wasn't paying attention).

My guess here is that Todd would love to not be mixed up in any of this, but he saw what happened to Vic, and Thotmore (her name, not mine) has him spooked that he could be next on the metoo chopping block.

I see this as a good thing, even if he were in all other respects an SJW. It demonstrates that people are waking up to the fact that this is out of control and nobody is safe.

So, I have to ask:
Have we taken inventory of all the voice actors who have made #kickvic statements?

I know we've documented our main cast, J. Michael Tatum threw Vic under the bus, Michele Specht liked #kickvic tweets and I did find Chuck Huber's tweet.
Of course, there's Shannon McCormick, Jen Brown, and Miles Luna from Rooster Teeth as well.
But about other VAs tweeting virtue signals?

For example,

1) Steve Blum -
He retweeted J. Michael Tatum's tweet:
To think he did "Real Fans of Genius" with Vic back in the day (See Vic's YouTube account)
As a bonus, here is a lolcow worthy tweet.
Such a lie, man

2) Josh Grelle -
His "Believe Survivors" tweet:
Applauding Jamie Marchi's accusation:
Supporting Justin Briner's tweet:
Agreeing with Jamie Marchi about Vic being lit on fire:
Retweeted Monica Rial's "IT HAPPENED TO ME!" tweet (we've seen it enough by now).
Agreeing with Ron Toye about never going back to Anime Matsuri.
Retweeting this post from Daman Mills.
Retweeting this post from Shannon McCormick.
Retweeted Funimation's tweet of severing with Vic Mignogna
Retweeted that Michelle woman's tweet accusing Vic of assaulting her in 1989.
Retweeting this person's tweet:

3) Josh Martin (voice of Majin Buu):
Supporting Monica Rial:
Whiteknighting Dominique Sky (can't see those who he is responding to):
Defending the Don of Funimation's tweet to Dominique Sky:
Responding to Fans:
There is SO much more:

4) David Wald:
#BeThere

5) Yuri Lowenthal:
Retweeted the #BeThere video.

6) SungWon Cho (ProZD):
Vic Mignogna's trangressions are an "open secret" at cons:
Blaming #IStandWithVic supporters for negative bombing his videos:
Retweeted this:
Troll bait?

7) Sonny Strait
Asks why would Monica risk her career:
Vic's supporters are "victims":
Supporting Monica:
Sonny Lawsplaining:
None of our business:
Vic Supporters attacking victims:
Interesting choice of words about Monica Rial:
Responding about a certain picture:
Questioned about a cosplayer wearing paint:
Talking about "Kip Mangina" video and friendship with Vic:

8)Kara Edwards:
#BeThere:

Bonus:
KaiserNeko of Team Four Star made this tweet (not sure if its a #kickvic tweet, though):

I'm tired. I'm sure I missed some VAs, but I am living a parting gift.
Here is Funimation's social media guy, Godswill Ugwa:
Have fun!
Well, there goes my respect for Josh Grelle.

When you have books like this fucking thing out, when you have a group that successfully purged someone from the industry on their say-so alone, you have to realize that, for all intents and purposes, if you're a male and at any point get in their way, you are on borrowed time. The people trying to appease this crowd of fucking maniacs are hoping to god that by making them happy, they can be considered one of "the good ones," ignoring that feeding the fucking beast hoping it eats you last probably isn't going to fucking work, especially given how often these people tear their own to shreds over tiny mis-steps.

DC is giving us a lot of content today, I'm starting to suspect he got a letter:
View attachment 697390

DC is crazy. He will occasionally just sperg out. A year or two ago he even started shooting video responses to tweets. I was cooking up a big thread on him in proving grounds, but then I lost all the text. My autism hasn't flared up enough for me to remake it.

Yeah I think so too. That's why I'm not holding anything against my favorite female VA. All she's done so far is like some of the KickVic tweets. She hasn't liked any of the extreme KickVic stuff. She's also liked some of the neutral tweets that don't take any sides. She hasn't tweeted anything out or retweeted anything yet.

Who, might I ask, are you referring to?

Fucking Steve Blum.

How are you going to say that and then say this a month later?

No wonder California is going in the gutter and people are leaving it. It’s run and occupied by hypocrites and idiots.

Which is truly fucking retarded, since as near as we can tell Renfamous has no actual connections to or interests in the industries, communities and fanbases that she shriekingly inserts herself into. She clearly doesn’t read comics and never has. None of her social media reflect a single element of actual comics content. She may be vaguely related to Weeb dom in that she seemingly badly cosplays as a blue haired fatass. But once again no references to any actual content beyond the most superficial. She claims to have been harassed by Gamergate, but they’ve never heard of her, and she clearly hates video games. See the pattern? She’s been both racist and homophobic, when those were fashionable. Her entire life is she is a pathetic loud mouthed internet bully. She seeks out any conflict on the internet and injects herself into it as “the most important voice ever!” And she is seemingly completely psychotic. She would appear to live out her high school fantasies of being the bullying mean girl, which she never could do back then because ugly FatAss, on the Internet by bullying nerds. Any nerd and any nerd community.

I doubt Caitlin Glass.
As for JYB, I don't know.
Speaking of JYB, I just saw "The Legendary Devil Hunter Dante" in Super Chat say his favorite voice actor believes Vic is "innocent until proven guilty." That is Reuben Langdon (Devil May Cry's Dante).

Langdon was in a stream earlier with Hero Hei and Yellow Flash:

isn't Reuben afraid of the backlash from other voice-actors?Then again,it isn't really his main gig(his only notable roles are Dante and Ken.And plenty of Funimation VAs are involved in the Street Fighter games,by the way.)since he mostly works as a stuntman(which is why most of the Devil May Cry main cast are comprised of trained martial artists like him,Dan Southworth and JYB) and has his own motion-capture company.
Plus,he recently escaped an attempt against his life while he was producing a documentary in Central America(which is a hellhole to live...) so this is really nothing in comparison

Speaking of Mary Elizabeth McGlynn, do we know what her take on this is?

both she and Blum have have retweeted and liked KickVic stuff so their stances are pretty clear.Mind you,Blum and Vic were apparently really close friends when Vic moved out to LA years ago...

That right there makes me question anything Sonny would say. That "parody" video went too far with the little boys comments. A normal person would be angry with anyone making allusions to them being a pedophile.
Could be that Vic's Christian upbringing and ability to forgive has been exploited by these people for years. He was saying he held no malice for them even after the kickvic stuff and only got a lawyer as a last resort. He also got Todd in touch with Ty after those texts were leaked of Todd mocking him behind his back. Vic's too nice for his own good, which is why they all assumed he'd never sue and would just go away quietly without a fight.

On another note I haven't been on twitter much lately but noticed Vic unfollowed Michele Specht.

Also damn I forgot about Zac getting butthurt over Kodomo no Jidan

imagine how he felt when years later the manga got successfuly kickstarted so it could be brought on North America for good this time and ANN had to report about it(in fact,it was the most successful graphic novel funded on Kickstarter at the time!).The publisher apparently still hasn't delivered all the goods to its backers to this day(including the physical edition that still hasn't come out),but the complete manga can be bought on digital format in English
