Something I found funny rewatching escaflowne is that Sabat was some literally who background character and Vic was a main antagonist then turned good guy
I'm pretty sure this was pre-FUNimation
Did Vic generally outshine Sabat Pre-FUNi? Because that could be why there is so much intense anger against Vic
And I noticed that FUNi about two years or so ago tried to kick-start a re-dubbing of escaflowne for no reason. Can anybody remind me if it was a re-dubbing? I remember seeing it years ago and thinking "why are they redoing it? It was fine?" But that could have been me getting it wrong or something

Actually, the pre-Funi Escaflowne dub was done by Ocean in Vancouver (Funi's old talent pool before moving shit to Texas).
