My guess is that it's gonna be "no comment." If they decide to bust a cap in Funimation's ass over the license, it'll probably be done quietly. That would satisfy their concern about Funimation's lack of professionalism, without having to wade into the whole metoo shit by taking a side.

This would probably just be added to their list of reasons that they would have to not renew the license for Funimation once Gen Fukanaga leaves the company.

Eh, I'd bet they'd rather not have to deal with investigating new licensees and negotiating new contracts. Besides, I don't think Funimation is beyond rescue at this point. Really, the best outcome for everyone in their regard is to settle, re-hire Vic, disassociate themselves from any bad actors still on the inside, and get back to business giving the kids their Indonesian cartoons.

On the other hand, i do pity him. Having a mother, or whatever is it called in their species, that spends more time on twitter doing...whatever the name of what she does is, instead of with him, i am honestly surprissed he hasn't ended like Marzgurl's cat.

Funny you should say that. At a panel from last year Vic spoke about how when he was directing Juni Taisen he deliberately didn't cast himself even though he wanted to play a character, because he was worried that other VAs would think it was a dick move to give himself a role.

Also a majority of these voices are from the OG dub days when FUNI wanted to save money after the whole recasting thing and not hire so many VAs, so they just gave him a whole bunch of roles. Any voices he gained during kai and onwards were through himself self-indulging.

Huh that's weird. I just assumed shit because it fit with his sabataging snake behavior but now I almost wanna backpedal on my thought because it's contradictory with the facts. Almost backpedal because blackmailing a con and charging half a grand for a tour still doesn't redeem him imo. But eh, come to think of it, one of Vegeta's technique is called galick gun. We had soy but now we got garlic as well.

And in 400 pages read so far I see a little bit of Canada and Quebec getting trashed and I have to agree with everything. I live there and I can say the place is pretty cool but everything that's being said here is true. Also I've been attending cons for a decade and I've never heard of ANN before even though my local con is located in the same city apparently. The internet's most trusted anime resource my ass.

I think you're being maybe a little hyperbolic. Yes, she's become prolific, but I think we're covering everybody as best we can.
