I really do wonder if we started thinking too hard about all of this. Originally all of our focus was on Rial and we thought Sabat was pulling the strings in the background. Then Beard comes out and says that there are two individuals: One pulling the strings in the background, and another who is a vocal lackey. But instead of refocusing on what's right in front of us (who he might not have named outright because of legal reasons) we started looking for other more fitting people.

I've been thinking similarly, in that the most obvious answer is usually the case.

To me that would make Sabat = Iago and Shane = Igor. The latter because Ty said Igor was the saddest person in the whole tale, and that's Shane. Plus he just looks like an Igor, all he needs is a hunched back.

I was just thinking, this might draw Todd into the bigger picture. From what I gathered he initially only had beef with Thotmore, and possibly only defamation. I posted some numbers in Wil Weaton and Felica Day's thread and will follow up once the month ends (spoiler G+S lost the majority of it's audience). I'm sure they are still 'friendly' but Day has lost a fucking enormous cash cow and will lose more as time goes on.
