As much as I love Nick and appreciate what he does, I don't like how he acts on impulse sometimes. If his source is incorrect, they're gonna get him burnt and give these KickVic-ers an actual reason to cause people to doubt him.

Dunno. The opinions I've seen are against any of these VAs being considered public figures. Nick is 50/50, and one of Ty's dudes (Bullock, I think) is of the opinion that Vic isn't a public figure. If Vic isn't, then Monica probably isn't.

Nick has said there's some compelling arguments for both, though.

Guys, It's a legitimate 40 yo woman, not a guy pretending to be a woman. I don't want to dox her, but if you do a tiny bit of searching, you can find a pic of her from this year. Not particularly my cup of tea. Also she's the typical kind of SJW from her tweets. Kinda struggling not to make an entire thread on her on twitter and put her on blast for her hypocrisy after she admitted she might've done some shady things too. I guess I'm missing something. How can soy effect service/notice to Nick if he's in lockdown mode? Also - if the guy really did retain that lawyer why didn't the lawyer tell him to stay off twitter and let the lawyer do his job? Makes me wonder if the lawyer bailed or was let go after explaining reality to soy.

I don't think a firm statement can be made at the moment, other than that Vic is definitely not a general public figure for all purposes. Whether he is a limited public figure for some purposes related to some statements in the case is going to be highly context dependent. I'm sure that whatever the Beard firm believes to be the case (and plaintiff counsel will certainly argue he is not), they will prepare for all eventualities.

I believe plaintiff can establish actual malice even if he is found to be a public figure, but clearly it is preferable and a lot easier to manage if he is not.

The question is trickier than it might seem at first glance. You might look at someone who is sitting at a table with a line 100 deep waiting for an autograph and conclude well, this guy is a celebrity and therefore a public figure. However, he isn't the President. He isn't Cher. He isn't going to be mobbed and recognized on the streets by anyone and everyone.

In short, he hasn't done anything that should lead him to believe that everything about his personal life can be dragged through the mud by anyone at any time for any reason. To that extent he is entitled to the protections against defamation of a normal private citizen, and against a normal private citizen, mere negligence, not actual malice, is all that is necessary to be liable for damaging falsehoods.

There are cogent arguments to the contrary, but I'm not going to go into those since it would really only be helpful to the bad guys.

The ones that I know she uses to communicate are @renfamous, @renfamousX, and @kekfamous.

@renfamousX has no tweets sent since the 6th of December.

Kekfamous is an interesting one.

It's a Poe's Law account, that she gained to bloodhound and hide in plain sight.

Reportedly, she got a soylent hacker to take the account from the original owner -- and now it just sits there since the date of last posting,

But, we (including #IStandWithVic) got her publicly banned. @Captain Manning, you just might see your whale blow.

People trolling Ron on his timeline are just being idiots, though. The legal objective is to get these people to settle rather than go to trial in the distant future. These aren't people who can easily separate social media trolls from the plaintiff and his legal team so they're going to see everyone who isn't pro-Monica as "Vic's supporters" and react accordingly. Inflaming them for shit and giggles is counterproductive.

Earlier today she was bragging about getting someone else booted. Maybe something she did in that was verboten. Or perhaps Twitter received a strongly worded letter from a small law firm in Texas and the account is suspended while they investigate/get evidence. It'd be nice if it was the second one.

I believe anyone not previously a follower/friend is blocked.
