I heard a commotion in the university bathroom yesterday, one woman had had an unexpected malfunction in the middle of class. She and her friend were discussing possibilities when I piped up from the stall, “I have one!” I washed my hands and gave her one of the spare ones I keep in my purse just for that purpose.
It felt so good to help someone out like that!! My voice doesn’t quite pass yet, but I wasn’t going to say “It’s okay, I don’t need it!” out loud anyway!

I was considered weird in high school because I always carried some. Just in my back pack I had a box of tampons, a few pads, a travel brush, some dry shampoo, Bobby pins, hairbands, and a few medications like Excedrin and stomach relief.
They all laughed until my rotc unit was on a bus for a drill meet and a girl was unprepared.

If that part of brain is underactive or otherwise not working properly you get face blindness. This doesn’t mean that you can’t see differences in faces just that you can’t use special programming to recognize familiar individuals. A person with face blindness has to instead use general memory to compensate and it’s not as good at it. Think trying to recognize individual cows, not impossible but hard. That doesn’t mean face blind can’t tell difference between small and big nose, male and female or hottie and nottie, just that you have hard time telling if you have met that blonde girl before (yes, you have been in same class for seven years).

I think the theory of face blindness in troonery is an extension of that, not a misunderstanding. Faceblind troons snapshot see the man brow and chiseled jaw and think - if they fix those two masc features - out will pop a female face.
