He started assembling YouTube playlists of videos by his favorite bands, and my clue that he really liked me came when he started really caring about whether I liked these bands, what my favorite songs or playlists were, etc. You've listed some music you listen to. You could look for a forum where people talk about these artists and see what other people enjoy the same music.
