They really do think Twitter is some form of reality, don’t they? Hey Moron! The looming case will be about conspiracy to interfere with an actors employment contracts, blacklist him from an industry and deny him career and income via a broad series of public and private defamation and direct pressure on employers. Much of the defamation occurred via social media including Twitter Tweets. Of which the defendants will have to answer for each and every one. H and the big boys like Funimation? They have a lot of exposure and liability here. So the first thing they will do is throw your asses under the bus and claim you all were the instigators. They just acted on the information you presented. Because dude, Rumor is not allowed in court. “Everybody knows” is not a standard of evidence. When the lawyers come knocking you had best have name date and location for every single claim you have made about the Plaintiff. And a witness willing to come forward.
And yeah, people are getting sued. Lawyers are getting paid. Letters have gone out. Those letters that said they may or may not be getting sued, etc? They mean you’re getting sued. It’s a neat little Texas thing. Sending them first helps triple the damages. Lawyers are involved. Lawyers have been fully funded. This isn’t a Twitter War you can win on obscure points. “Oh the mean lawyer lied because he said he didn’t have my address when he did, so I Win!!!” Yeah, no. It doesn’t work that way. It’s going to cost everyone involved a tremendous amount of money. And there is no play nice. There is no “well why make things bad for everybody?” You and your fellow clowns cost the Plaintiff everything. He has nothing left to lose at this point. And under the laws of Texas, You or your fellows will likely lose everything for that.
