See, you seem to think that scientific worth is simply produced by those in the field. There are those who interpret that data, the theorists who use mathematics to prove data, the physicists who do physical examinations and then pass it on to everyone else...
And then the librarians who study, comprehend, and archive that data. Not saying that we can do what field and theoretical scientists do, but we need to have an understanding of what ends up in the archives, the stacks, and what's published. Sorry, broheim, but librarians aren't just the people who shelve books or work the circulation desks; though they tend to have bachelors degrees and are amazingly knowledgeable. Librarians
run the libraries and if they didn't exist neither would your "scientific papers."
