The way I see it, a guy who say he's got some ACTUAL proof Vic could be guilty of something under Canadian laws decided to contact Nick and present what he knows, and Nick is looking it up because apparently the information seemed legit in good faith and worth investigation and the guy presenting it kept his spaghetti in his pockets.

If that's all true, I'll wait until Nick is done looking into this, bugging the man who contacted Nick prior isn't gonna change the results either way.

What could be done with that information, assuming that it even exists? Vic was never convicted of anything in Canada. If anything, there was at most a report written by PonyToast on behalf of the "victim" based on what PonyToast said, which is very weird. It also begs the question of why PonyToast is contacting Rekieta now when the filing of lawsuits is about to happen.

It would probably be the same hugs that Vic does in the United States, specifically Texas, whatever he's being accused of in Canada.

Iirc gamergate started up in mid 2014 and had completely fizzled (except in the stepfather's delusions) by late 2015

So I decided to look up Swicegoods tabletop RPG. If Ty made one, this guy can right?

Swicegood's RPG hasn't left beta testing and had been designed since 2016.

So I decided to check out his book. Seems cool that he's published, right?

It was a NaNoWriMo about a mix between Harry Potter and The Office.

This guy couldn't even name the province when pressed for details, just "Canada". I think he's a coattail rider.

It all depends on the legal process or how long settlement takes. The difference between gamergate and this is that there is a tangible thing to follow. In this case being Vic's potential lawsuit.

Nick didn't suggest it has anything to do with finalizing claims involving the interference with the KC contract. He said that it would be awkward to have Vic, Ty, and the ALOD at KC, immediately after the lawsuit is filed, and word of that starts spreading like wildfire (which it ill).

Filing it after KC allows Vic to avoid IRL drama shit. It's a move designed to avoid grief for Vic and allow him the best chance to have a pleasant experience with his fans before shit gets super real. The thing is almost certainly ready to go now if it needed to happen right now. An additional delay won't make any real difference.

I still suspect that if the 15th is correct it means they are including the TI with KC. Which would mean filing against Rial, Toye, and possibly Sabat. They would want to insure that Nick’s contract was honored and Rial’s breached, and see what Sabat does just to make sure their filings don’t jump the gun. They are likely going with the KC TI because they would be fools not to. It’s open and shut and literally happened right in front of them in real time. But they would want the event over first. That’s more important then Vic and Rial not butting heads.

I don't know how much of the members of the harassment campaign's social media postings will part of the trials but I've sat first hand in court and listened to or seen defendant's statements placed on large display boards in these types of cases before. The cringe and humiliation is off the charts.

That is something that I just can't grasp that even a complete fucking moron like Ron Toye doesn't understand - just how utterly humiliating this doubling down and the juvenile Internet badass routine his Twitter posting are going to be sitting in a quiet courtroom with a bunch of complete strangers some of whom are in a position to cost you tens, hundreds, or even millions of dollars in damage awards.

It is like having what you fapped to last night forwarded to your entire company the next morning. You can't laugh it off, you can't run away, and sitting there face to face with people glaring at you thinking you are a complete piece of shit.

It’s mind blowing that these fuckers just won’t shut up. They keep posting and posting and posting online. Leaving a continuous paper trail of evidence. I can’t imagine what they actually believe will happen when a case lands in their lap? And I so hope they try and pull the harassment campaign out of their asses. Because as soon as a Judge or Jury sees The Broken Stair list, it’s all over.

They just took it for granted that there would be a dozen hit pieces from Salon, HuffPo, Buzzfeed, et cetera... but they never materialized. The only ones that showed up was ANN and ... That's about it? Maybe some of the ComicsGate SJW rags tossed in their support?

All their friends at HuffPost, Buzzfeed and Vice got shitcanned just as this started. And the Gawker shit heads just got dumped on a shady venture capitalist company this morning for literally nothing. Figure most of them will be learning to code by next Tuesday.

I saw this chimp posting this on twitter and he didn't have any more proof than any of the previous claimants we've seen. It was more third party stuff with the only difference being that his "friends" actually supposedly filed a police report. Which I will believe when I see it. I'm glad Nick is looking into so when it turns out to be yet another nothingburger there will be more sperging from the brony on his twitter.

I know I told this story before, but it was either a jillion pages ago or in that other thread, but he had a story iirc of him answering his door to two random fangirls who brough a cake and then he invited them in and they ate some with him, and the other people on the panel with him were like "lol wtf that could have been poisoned and they could have killed you" and he was like "oh, yeah I guess but it didn't so I guess it worked out" or something similarly nonchalant. I should try to dig that up, wonder if there was anybody relevant on that to go "wait he can be kind of a dummy about nefarious assholes" after hearing that. Depending on who you ask about how long GG lasted. Either 6-months to it’s still going now (). Really it died out late 2014 or early 2015 and transformed into the golden age of anti-SJWs. Which arguably ended in 2016.

I guess from someone who kinda vaguely remember it, the first phase of Gamergate (the attack attack attack phase) ran for 2 months, then phase 2 happens, when people looking for shekels joined in, even MundaneMatt proclaimed himself the leader of Gamergate.
Month 4 when things got ugly when it revealed GG has been doxxing its own. Month 5 when Metokur quit, citing that the movement became too focused on defending itself and full of people exploiting the movement for shekels. Sargon quickly assumed the throne for being the only one with the remotely posh british accent. then it shambled along with his reign to a stillborn death.

I guess we are now in the phase that outside people with no stakes are jumping in, looking to exploit the movement for shekels.
