In court yes. In public I highly doubt it. This is a small town. Like a couple thousand people small. Chances are Nick's kids play on the same t-ball team and they attend the same church. They personally know each other or have common friends or something. They've met. Being not a known crazy person in a rural community makes you pretty much SWAT-proof in that case.

That's even assuming the Sheriff could wrangle together the team in a quick enough manner to act rashly begin with. It pretty much only gets broken out to serve warrants on violent offenders and shit. The SWATing randos over the internet is purely a wealthy department near population centers thing.
